KIT Royal Tropical Institute has a vacancy for a project officer (32-40hrs) to assist the Project Office & Business Development department in the challenging task of supporting over 100 KIT experts, who carry out development projects worldwide in Health, Education, Economic Development and Gender. Your responsibilities as Project officer
Screen the industry market for opportunities for KIT
Manage the acquisition of projects through tender procedures
Assess the feasibility of tenders
Draft Project Budgets
Negotiate and draw up contracts and evaluating funding and partnership contracts
Functioning as point of contact for project managers, funders, partners and other internal and external stakeholders
Advise the organisation on Data Protection matters and ensure the organisation remains compliant with the Data Protection regulations.
A university, or higher vocational, education in related fields e.g., Business Administration, Organisational Management, Economics, Law, or Management
Excellent command of both written and spoken English. Spanish, French, and language skills are a plus
Strong assessment skills and a stress-resistant attitude
Ability to navigate towards different types of internal stakeholders
Interest in Data Protection and Legal matters
Interest in contract and quality management
Maximum of 4 years work experience.

A gross monthly salary starting from € 3,024,- to € 3,752,- based on experience for a 40-hour working week, 8% holiday pay and admission to the ABP pension fund foundation
One-year contract, with a view to permanent employment
Approximately 25 annual vacation days plus 13 ADV days (when working full-time)
A workplace in a historic building in the heart of Amsterdam, with the option of working from home;
Travel allowance; NS-Business card or kilometer allowance, and bicycle plan
