    Project Lead Project Management

    This will be your workplace

    Start date: in consideration with candidate, but preferably as soon as possible. Contract: starting with a one year contract with the intention of transforming this into a permanent contract after the first year. Weekly working hours: 40 hours Working location is Arnhem. Large Projects Offshore Based on the Energie-akkoord, where the targets and intentions for the transition to a more renewable energy supply are set, the Roadmap Offshore wind energy 2030 and the ambition to realise additional windcapacity prior to 2030 a roll-out strategy is being prepared for the medium term, including the IJmuiden Ver (DC) projects. This results in a commitment for TenneT to realise at least 2x (with potential up to 5) 2GW HVDC Grid Connection Systems which bring the power from offshore wind-farms in the North sea to the Dutch electricity grid to be commissioned between 2028 - 2030.

    who will contribute to this and that might be you?

    Your contribution to TenneT

    Main responsibilities include:

    • You are responsible for controlling the project management team in the IJmuiden Ver project and content-related sparring partner for the team members.
    • You are responsible for the project management (admin) requirements during all IJmuiden Ver Tenders (a.o. HVDC-Platform, Cable, Civil) and manage the disciplines (scheduling, quality, document management, risk, Systems Engeering) accordingly.
    • You manage the interfaces between the various project management disciplines such as risk, quality, document management, schedule management and Systems Engineering as well as ensuring uniform reporting.
    • You coordinate the creation of the internal project management specifications and manage the project management (administrative) requirements for our (main) suppliers.
    • In doing so, you ensure that uniform project management procedures and quality standards are in place, that these are also adhered to in technical workstreams and that processes are harmonized and further developed.
    • You ensure that higher-level project management specifications and lessons learned from parallel projects are taken into account in the IJmuiden Ver project.
    • You are responsible for the role out of generic PMO processes within the IJmuiden Ver project in/after alignment with PMO and other stakeholders outside the project
    • You provide input for developing TenneT broad PMO processes

    Your Profile and background

    • You have relevant professional experience in large projects and project-related work processes in the area of project management functions or as a project manager.
    • A corresponding university degree is just as advantageous as an internationally recognized project management certificate (e.g. IPMA Level C or higher).
    • Personal skills are very important for this role: you have great analytic skills, you are a selfstarter, can abstract complex matters to the essence of what is required, can steer a team in a motivating way, have a great feeling for organising complex processes, have a can do mentality paired with a strong drive to solve and work through topics and have the natural ability to liaise in an effective way with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to bridge (conflicting) interests.
    • You show strong leadership, courage and ownership for reaching the results within your scope.
    • You have excellent communication in Dutch and English
    • Willingness to travel to our internal project partners in Lehrte but also to our suppliers (possibly worldwide) is a mandatory requirement.
