    PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

    About Lygature

    Lygature is an established not-for-profit organization that drives medical innovations to address unmet medical needs worldwide. Current challenges in health care require collaboration across disciplines and stakeholder groups, such as industry, academia, health foundations and patients. Lygature provides partnership management for public-private partnerships that develop innovations in the medical space. As an independent third-party Lygature is a proud contributor to the success of many different multilateral collaborations, including the European Lead Factory, Health Innovation Netherlands, Oncode Institute, Health-RI, Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium, Regulatory Science Network Netherlands and UNITE4TB.

    Project Communications Manager (32-40 hours per week)

    About this role

    As a mid-career professional, you will play an important role in a large array of communication tasks within several projects at Lygature. Stakeholder communication is of critical importance in all projects and initiatives facilitated by Lygature. Together with the Program Managers and the Director Communications & External Affairs, you will develop strategic communication plans and ensure execution of these plans. With your background in the life sciences & health, and expertise in communication, you can translate a communication strategy into clear actions to secure attention and create engagement. Furthermore, you deliver the required communication tools on time and within budget. You are also responsible for monitoring the communication goals.

    Responsibilities

    · Establish good working relations with all project partners involved

    · Increase stakeholder engagement within projects and for Lygature itself

    · Develop annual communication plans for large public-private partnerships

    · Create communication tools with tailored content, both online and off-line, together with our in-house communication specialists (design, digital and IT)

    · Continue to improve the quality of the communication support we provide

    · Contribute to the shared expertise of the Lygature communications team

    Requirements

    · You have a Master of Science in a biomedical or life science discipline and preferably a Master Science Communication additionally

    · You are a competitive candidate if you have between one and five years of relevant experience in science journalism, communication agency experience, strategy consulting, corporate communications or media relations

    · You are a communication professional: self-starter, sharp and versatile

    · You have experience with research & innovation in the life sciences: affinity with FAIR data management and open science

    · You have shown how to create stakeholder engagement through communication in the life sciences & health

    · You have proven project management skills

    · You are fluent in both Dutch and English

    What’s next?

    We are currently inviting candidates for a first interview round, focused on your personality and the mission of Lygature. In a second round of interviews, we assess specific professional skills and give a written assignment which completes our evaluation. The final candidate is offered our proposal hopefully at the start of 2022.
