We are looking for a Production Planner to be part of our expanding team at Applied Medical’s new manufacturing facility, located in Amersfoort (NL). In this position you will be responsible for planning and managing multiple product lines, related components, and raw materials. You will generate shop orders, purchase requisitions and collaborate with the Production team for production scheduling. To meet business requirements, you will also monitor and track production volumes, sales history, forecast accuracy and inventory levels, together with the team.
The Production Planner will report to the Planner or Manufacturing Director and works together with all team members within the organization to successfully plan for their respective product groups.
Coordinate and plan for multiple product lines based on the ERP/MRP requirements
Create shop orders and purchase requisitions based on the sales forecast and safety stock requirements
Monitor work flow and focus on priority and capacity control
Coordinate new product and product improvement implementations
Develop a thorough understanding of relevant (Supply Chain) processes within the Applied Medical European manufacturing facility
Collaborate with Finance for the quarterly Excess and Obsolescence (E&O) Reserve Analysis
Suggest process improvements to streamline the planning process
Mentor new team members and contribute to building a highly effective team
Perform ad-hoc queries for complex analysis
Achieve expertise in SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
HBO / Bachelor degree, preferably in the direction of Business Economics, Supply Chain Management or Logistics and Economics
1+ years of work experience in a similar position
Excellent Dutch and English, both spoken and written
Experience in medical device production planning is preferred
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP is preferred)
Good knowledge of Excel
