The Procurement Manager will be a key member of the Accsys Procurement Team, responsible for procurement at our main manufacturing site in Arnhem. The role is an important position, representing the procurement team for our Arnhem site. The job is a mix of strategic procurement, operational buying and supplier management. The focus is on industrial equipment and services as we expand and maintain our manufacturing plant. There are always exciting opportunities in the team so the work will be quite varied, and could therefore also see other category areas supported. You will be a key member of several project teams, with exposure throughout the business, as well as being responsible for the performance of a direct report.
Agree industrial construction, service and maintenance contracts (working with technical, procurement and legal teams). From initial tendering through to contract signature and commercial management.
Work proactively with technical teams to identify requirements and ensure Accsys has the correct services & materials required to operate
Manage commercial relationships with critical suppliers, including performance reviews.
Lead cost reduction initiatives in Arnhem in the supply base.
Support onboarding suppliers – expediting confidentiality agreements, pre-qualification questionnaires and other supplier information.
Support the Accsys procurement team as a new Finance / Procurement IT system is rolled out.
Travel to visit suppliers will be part of the job. Travel to other Accsys sites may be required, although this would be on an ad-hoc basis.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Enthusiastic, proactive attitude
5+ years’ experience working in a procurement, supply chain or commercial role
Collaborative approach with suppliers and colleagues
Industrial manufacturing experience desirable as well as familiarity with construction standard contracts (e.g. NEC, UAC)
