Our Client is a cooperative bank with over 8,5 million customers. Through large and small initiatives, the bank aims to make the world a little bit better. They support local enterprises and larger non-profit organisations and thus contribute to the welfare and prosperity of the community.
Client has decided to develop a new foundation for Credit Risk Management that will allow for a much more data driven credit risk management process and enable the bank to be able to comply to the ever growing pile of regulations on this topic. A pivotal part of the new Credit Core foundation is that the obligor structure will no longer be maintained directly by first line staff, but will be automatically derived from product and party data from the business units. The system that does this is called Risk Credit Hierarchy (RCH).
As a first development, RCH is built to support the post deal part of the credit journey.
As a next step, a RCH plateau B is initiated to also support the pre-deal process for prospecting and loan origination.
- pre-requisite for amongst other BaselIV project;
RML Corporate and Rural Model; Leverage Transaction project.
Given the vast diversity of source data coming in from the business units, and the challenging objective to come to a unified data model for credit risk data including standardized closed value lists for all of the attributes, data structuring, data definitions and data transformations are an important part of the challenge in plateau B.
The period in which the Plateau B design will be created covers Q4 of 2021 and Q1 of 2022.
-· Contribute data structuring/modelling and data management expertise with knowledge and experience in Credit Risk Data area.
-· In order to assure sound practice around the RCH and CreditCore data model, assure that attributes and closed value lists for attributes are consistent through the entire credit journey data chain.
-· And finally to incorporate data management practice in RCH design to assure data quality and availability at source to the maximum extent possible.
