The aim of the project is to bring quantum sensing into the world of biomedical applications. We recently made a step forward and founded the startup company Diamond Visions. The aim of the startup is to build equipment and commercialize the outcome from the research group by building a prototype for NV center based measurements. We are looking for a postdoc with a background in physics (optics) or engineering, preferably with experience with NV centers building of diamond magnetometers. An interest in interdisciplinary work and an entrepreneurial spirit are advantageous.
Essential selection criteria
This is a lab-based post, and cannot be performed remotely.
Essential selection criteria
- You have a PhD, or are working towards finalizing one, in a relevant discipline (e.g. physics, engineering).
- Willing to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, with a high degree of cross training.
- Experience in optics (preferably with NV centers or other color centers).
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic individual.
This is a lab-based post, and cannot be performed remotely.
Wat bieden wij
The successful candidate will be able to develop their research skills within highly experienced and internationally recognized research groups. It concerns a full-time (36 hours a week) position in an enthusiastic team with dedicated researchers. You will receive a contract for one year. Your salary will be a maximum of € 4.800 gross per month (scale 10 from 1-8-2022), depending on your qualifications and relevant experience, based on a full-time appointment. In addition, the UMCG will offer you 8% holiday pay, and 8.3% end-of-year bonus. The conditions of employment comply with the Collective Labour Agreement for Medical Centres (CAO-UMC).Meer informatie
