Our strategy “Responsible Growth” focuses on rapidly upgrading and expanding our grid to enable the energy transition, connecting new customers (e.g., offshore wind parks, solar fields) to it, while keeping the lights on in the Netherlands and Germany 99.99% of the time. To take the next leap in our growth agenda and corresponding transformative priorities, we are creating a new Responsible Growth Acceleration Office comprised of diverse, empowered, and inspired colleagues. Your team works closely with a wide range of stakeholders, from board members, the senior leadership team, to business units. The team aims to solve and accelerate delivery of the most strategic topics in our company and directly contributes to TenneT goals. This team is positioned within the Strategy and Partnerships department.
This will be our challenge
As a Strategy Acceleration Manager (all genders), you are at the heart of delivering our sustainable Responsible Growth strategy. As a sparring partner for senior leadership and teams throughout the business, you will help ensure a seamless translation of strategy to implementation. In 6-12-week cycles, you will lead with diverse teams of approx. 5 colleagues in the business to tackle a different topic that directly contributes to our four strategic pillars. In two-week sprints you will develop, launch and implement projects, build capabilities within the units and capture learnings for the wider business. Through this rhythm, you will be exposed to many learning and growth opportunities to further boost your career within and outside TenneT.
Your contribution to TenneT
Be a sparring partner for the organization, by working closely with board / senior leadership of TenneT to understand and structure strategic, complex problems and develop projects/initiatives to solve them
Lead and collaborate with diverse teams of colleagues with strategic, technical, business backgrounds to implement 6–12-week projects/initiatives in 2-week sprint cycles
Proactively, identify and develop creative and feasible solutions to challenges or dilemmas that may arise during implementation
Synthesize complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations using both qualitative and quantitative methods, and discuss these with board / senior leadership
Actively drive a culture of continuous learning on team and organizational level, by coach and build capabilities in business units and enabling functions, to create lasting transformative impact
Establish trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders in service of achieving our strategic goals
Communicate change with all levels of the organization, including senior leaders, in a structured and compassionate manner
Connect within the team, but also connect different teams with each other, as you work in different departments and collaboratively implement the strategy
Engage in a continuous personal professional development, e.g., leverage capability building opportunities in leadership development, strategic and business management
Act as a role model and create the right context for employees to show the desired mind-set and behaviour in line with TenneT’s leadership profile (Connection, Ownership and Courage)

Your Profile and background
Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree or professional designation preferred;
Minimum of 2-3 years strategy consulting or 5 years of project management experience required;
Track record in getting things done, including a demonstrated ability to take initiative in current and/or previous roles;
Enthusiastic and inspiring team member, able to thrive in a diverse team of professionals; act as a collaborator in and coach for the team;
Able to create a high-performance culture, raise the bar and drive accountability
Strong people skills are essential, including demonstrated ability to lead and train small teams, as well as build and maintain relationships at all levels outside and inside TenneT;
Strategic as well as hands-on mentality - Is able to facilitate complex discussion and convince on key principles, but also deliver business impact and actionable recommendations;
Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills (i.e., can conduct root cause analysis, develop hypothesis, make recommendations, and track results);
Competent in project management (including scoping, planning and execution) under tight deadlines; Experience in working with teams that work in short delivery cycles is a plus;
Strong written, oral, communication and presentation skills in English required (to include comfort working in Excel and PowerPoint); medium knowledge in German/Dutch is beneficial and willingness to travel.
