    Payroll analyst (junior)

    Job Summary

    The (junior) Payroll Analyst performs the payroll for multiple countries in EMEA and provides and maintains the required expertise and work effort necessary to properly support all payroll programs in the payroll environment in accordance with companies’ policies and procedures.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Prepare payroll input for several countries in EMEA including - UK, NL, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden (can be expanded)
    • Monitoring salary, role and other changes based on headcount information received from HR
    • Support with month end close for EMEA: booking of all payroll related GL journal entries (salary, PTO, bonus etc.)
    • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline
    • Support with payroll related internal and external audits
    • Assisting the internal audit department with SOX control testing
    • Support with tax and social security audit, working with tax advisor and liaise with tax inspector when requested
    • Process all payments related to payroll
    • Manage Labor Cost Control
    • Document and communicate common and efficient Payroll processing opportunities for the organization
    • Maintain the proper understanding of payroll processing policies and procedures with the Payroll team and all other employees throughout the organization
    • Assist with payroll processing inquiries from Payroll members and other employees throughout the organization
    • Participate in the development of new payroll processing programs, policies, and procedures as necessary

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
    • 3-plus years related experience
    • Prior experience with payroll operations
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Payroll software
    • Strong analytical skills
    • “Hands-on” mentality
    • Shows initiative and provides good follow-up on areas of responsibility, especially in the area of the accounting process
    • Fluency in English and Dutch (both written and spoken)
