    The Paralegal is mainly responsible for corporate governance for the entities in the EMEA/APAC region. In additional the Paralegal will be supporting the legal counsels with contracts and other legal documents, and assisting with researching legal topics.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Act as an independent corporate secretary for the Kraton Entities in the EMEA/APAC region. Activities will include preparing and maintaining corporate records, coordinating matters relating to board and shareholder meetings, and resolutions coordinating matters relating to statutory accounts, gathering approvals and signatures, coordinating with outside counsels in various jurisdictions, responding to requests from internal clients for corporate records and information.
    • Support legal team in handling contracting and transactional matters including preparing powers of attorney, responding to know-your-customer and other regulatory requests of (financing) counterparties.

    Contracting and General Legal
    • Drafting correspondence and other legal documents, for the review, approval, and use by the legal team.
    • Proactively and independently, administer the contract management system (“CMS”) and keep record of and maintain the digital- and physical library of legal documents. Manage requests and inquiries from internal clients related to CMS.
    • Provide training to business partners on contract processes, CMS, and corporate matters.
    • Supporting legal counsels by proofreading, editing, formatting, and finalizing legal documents through to execution.
    • Potential research and review of developments in a variety of legal areas.
    Required Skills
    • Ability to quickly learn legal requirements in multiple domestic and foreign jurisdictions.
    • Understanding of, and ability to handle, interaction of multiple, sometimes competing demands in a large multinational entity.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
    • Demonstrate punctuality, time management, organization, and planning and coordination skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage several projects at once.
    • Ability to create, composes, and edits written materials.
    • Experience with Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
    Education, Certifications & Licenses
    • Bachelor degree in Law preferred
    • At least 3 years of law firm or corporate legal department experience
    • Fluent in both English and Dutch (speaking and writing)
