    Operations Assistant

    Operations Assistant


    Retailors, a subsidiary of Fox Group (9,000+ employees globally) - is a leading, fast growing retailor, specializing in the sports, athleisure segment and is a global partner of choice to operate Nike retail locations in Europe, Canada and Israel.


    As part of our expansion plans, we are currently seeking an experienced Operations Assistant to support our European Operations Manager with activities related to new store construction and store maintenance. This position is located in our Nike Head Office in Amsterdam.


    Main Responsibilities:

    Maintenance:

    • Oversee procurement of maintenance related items and ensure all stakeholders are aware of any issues
    • Administer the maintenance process/procedures so that our stores receive the support required in a timely, efficient manner
    • Vendor management - obtain quotes, source new vendors; negotiate pricing; improve efficiencies and or associated costs
    • Responsible for annual system check (fire, HVAC, escalator/elevator safety maintenance)

    New Stores (Acquisitions, Construction):

    • Work with various members of the project team to develop a timeline, create schedules, and oversee project progress to ensure projects are on track
    • Coordinate all internal and external partners to ensure tasks are on time as per the project objectives (i.e. internet providers, internal IT partners, Nike IT)
    • Manage and communicate project status /progress to team members and key stakeholder
    • Utilize Smartsheet to track construction dates, GC’s, Architects and all other relevant information for each project
    • Ensure all project drawings, plans, site info and reports are maintained and documented and accessible for project team
    • Ensure everyone on the team is kept up to date and is clear on responsibilities and deadlines so that all goals, objectives, and timelines are met.
    • Respond to and track correspondence received, meeting minutes, change orders, site instructions, drawings and reports as appropriate

    Here’s what we’re looking for:


    • A minimum of 2 years in a similar Operations/Construction support role - preferably within the retail industry
    • Previous experience preparing and managing construction documents;
    • Knowledge of the construction process and timelines of projects;
    • Good knowledge of project management fundamentals (planning, scheduling)
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable to develop and maintain strong relationships; good English (verbal and written).
    • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize own work
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Self motivated and results driven - can be counted on to follow through
