    Office Manager

    We are expanding our team in Amsterdam!


    We are looking for a smart, motivated and fluent Dutch / English speaking Office Manager with starting date in January latest!


    Fluent Dutch and professional capacities in English required.

    What you will be doing


    Reporting to the October Nederland CEO and functionally to the Group CFO and HR Manager, your responsibilities will encompass that of Office Management, Billing/Accounting and HR as well as some operational tasks and will include:


    Office management

    • Management of aspects concerning the proper functioning of the office: suppliers (incl. review and negotiation), logistics, Internet and telephony and equipment
    • Travel management: hotel reservations / flight tickets / train tickets
    • Company’s internal events organisation
    • Translations of contents

    Billing / Accounting

    • Acting as the interface between the Group CFO and the local accounting firm
    • Suppliers’ invoices and payments recording, tracking into the suppliers' table
    • Bank wire transfers preparation and processing
    • Monthly accounts entering and verifying into the suppliers' table
    • Partnership contracts management: filing, storage, scanning and mailing

    HR

    • Responsible for local HR administrative matters (new employees declarations, social matters, …)
    • Employees’ expense reports processing, leave of absence sheets classification
    • Payroll 1st level of control

    Operations (backup)

    • Working with our Operations Manager, providing assistance in the booking of loan projects, repayments monitoring, perform 1st line collections actions (calls/emails), report collections data

    Lenders team (backup)

    • KYC verification and check
    • Contact with lenders throught Intercom

    Desired experience

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Office Management or Accounting role

    Knowledge and skills

    • Proficiency in the MS Office Pack and curious about technology, ability to use new software
    • Fluency in Dutch and English
    • Excellent organisational, numerical and time management skills, attention to detail
    • Capacity to prioritise tasks and adapt to changing workloads
    • Ability to work at your own initiative
    • Problem-solving skills and project management ability
    • Ability to liaise well with others and have a sense of service

    The role is adaptable to your profile (minimum 3 days and maximum 5 days per week).
    If you prefer a part-time position (around 3 days) the position will be mainly Office Manager.
    If you prefer 4 or 5 days per week, you will have the opportunity to discover other key jobs and develop skills in the areas of Sales, Compliance and/or Recovery. Alternatively, you could contribute to the implementation of a new bookkeeping system.
