    NPI coordinator / Coordinator New Product Introduction

    The New Product Introduction (NPI) Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of all assigned Abbott Nutrition International (ANI) project activities for new products and product changes where ALOG is involved. This includes regular contact with a variety of functional areas within ANI, like the global NPI Project Office (PPMO), Supply Chain Liaisons, Master Data management, Planning, Customer Operations and Shipping, to ensure correct system set-up, planning and execution of projects, on time launch, issue resolution, and improvement opportunities. Influencing internal and external stakeholders through establishing credibility in project management is of great importance.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate Project initiation, planning, execution, launch and close out of NPI’s within ALOG
    • Assess and advice on behalf of Operations Supply Chain Business Cases of New/Potential launches (PIER’s)
    • Coordinate new item set up process for all new Finished Goods and Bulk products, including as needed: communication with key stakeholders (Planning, Master Data Management department, Customer Operations), assignment of Label, Size and Pack Code
    • Provide a single NPI repository (Detailed Project List) for (key) new product / activity information accessible throughout the supply chain
    • Maintain this Detailed Project List file
    • Measure and report the performance
    • Support the Financial Planning Process and secure the integration of new product / activity information into the LTP
    • Frequent use of databases and software applications to support and update NPI’s
    • Support in resolution finding for elevated NPI issues
    • Provide visibility to the NPI process and drive for continuous improvement

    Position Interaction Internal & External Contacts (Influencing, motivating, etc.):

    • Regular contact with Internal Master Schedulers and Customer Operations on NPI phase in phase out planning and execution and safety stock settings
    • Regular contact with the Supply Chain Planning Team on the planning and execution of NPI phase in phase out production and shipments
    • Regular contact with ANI Process/Project Management Office (PPMO)
    • Regular to Occasional contact with QA, Finance, IT departments and Supply Chain Liaisons

    Education – Master Degree:

    • Supply Chain Management or
    • Production Operations Management or
    • Logistics Management


    • At least 5 years of experience in logistics required


    • Excellent English written and oral communication skills required
    • Knowledge of SAP Advanced Planning Systems preferred
