To lead the planning, analysis and purchasing of the seasonal ranges from initial planning to sell through in all DTC channels including ecommerce and retail.
Support the DTC Planning Team in developing financial strategies and seasonal product assortment plans, to meet consumers demand, optimise stock availability and maximise sales opportunities across Retail, Digital Market Place and Ecom.
Translate the overall merchandising strategy to assortment strategy in order to determine the right product mix.
Work closely with Merchandising and VM to ensure an accurate option assortment plan is produced in accordance with the appropriate timelines and within the direction of the global and regional teams and reflected in the Range Plan.
Manage the buying and purchase order placement for DTC ensuring accuracy and working to strict deadlines.
Monitor the flow of product through the full price and clearance channels ensuring aged stock is flagged and dealt with in a timely fashion and stock turn targets are met.
Support the planning manager on weekly/monthly forecast by channel on relevant KPI’s such as sales, margin, stock, OTB.
In-season analysis to aid strategic decisions on floor layouts, product mixes, marketing campaigns, product launches.
Constantly review performance to identify emerging trends to avoid missed opportunities across all retail channels. Propose trade activites.
Support the issuing of guidance regarding Store Capacity and agreeing the planned capacity levels at an option and unit level with stores and DM’s
Develop reports to show in season metrics including mix of newness, total assortment size by product area vs prior years & projected option flow.
Ad hoc analysis for all channels and GBU’s.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
Previous experience in a planning/merchandising/analytic role.
Excellent Retail math and analytical skills with a strong link to translate to product.
Advanced Excel user.
Great communication skills at all levels.
Experience with BI an advantage.
Ability to cope with multiple active projects.
Enjoys working collaboratively, as part of a team and building strong working relationships.
