    Manager, Payroll

    Key Responsibilities
    The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:
    • Manages payroll staff for processing the bi-weekly, monthly and supplemental, multi-state payroll, including garnishments to 700+ employees consistent with local legislation and labor agreements. For the EU region, the countries covered are: The Netherlands, France, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Belgium, UK, Italy, Russia, Singapore.
    • Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely.
    • Ensure systems are set-up and updated to reflect our current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick and vacation time in line with local legislation and company requirements.
    • Monitor compliance with company policies, labor agreements, procedures and regulatory agencies by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
    • Maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
    • Oversee month end and year end closing process payroll including YTD earnings, W-2's, etc.
    • Review/preparation of accounting journals entries for assigned balance sheet accounts
    • Monthly review/preparation of account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts
    • Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations.
    • Communicate actively with HR, Payroll Tax and Operations to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing.
    • Oversee internal and external audits including: statutory audits, SOX, R&D and workers compensation.
    • Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly and year end reports.
    • Assist with various financial and system integration tasks associated with new company acquisitions.
    • Other projects as assigned by management.

    Required Skills
    • 5 + years’ experience minimum.
    • Experience with SAP, CloudPay, Kronos and Success Factor preferred.
    • Microsoft Office experience.
    • Proficient Excel Skills.
    • Solid analytical skills with an attention to detail.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Integrity and trust.
    • Pro-active/priority setting/time management skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present clear. and well documented findings and recommendations.
    • Working knowledge of internal controls, policies, procedures.
    Education, Certifications & Licenses
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
    • Proficient in English is essential
    • Communication skills verbal and written
