This is what your job looks like As our Manager of Credit Control, your goal is to collect the membership fees from our more than 2 million members and the other revenue streams for 1100+ clubs. While also contributing to the long-term relationship and loyalty of our members. You can shift between the day-to-day operations of direct debits and dunning, analyzing and forecasting cash flows, the management of our collection partners, and our board room to shape the long-term payment and collecting strategies.
As an interface to the management and other departments, you will help us on our mission to offer our members a low-cost, high-value experience. You will independently identify needs, develop proposals for action, and coordinate these with internal departments and external partners to optimize the debtor’s journey.
You will be based in our headquarters in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands. Traveling occasionally to our other operating countries is part of the job. We are based in six European countries (Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, and Germany).
You will report to our Finance Director, Adriaan Bos, and will be part of the finance MT.
Your main responsibilities:
Manage, develop and grow the Credit Control Team (7 FTE);
Guide our payments and collections strategy and focus on scalability
Report and analyze the success of debtors’ journeys and the performance of the external collection agencies;
Lead the optimization through A/B testing of the debtor’s journeys in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ;
Manage our outsourcing and collecting partners and guarantee the correct service level;
Maintain close relationship with payment service providers to optimize performance;
Reduce the frictions in the payment processes;
Improve DSO and decrease the cost of collections;
Participate in the development of the global customer experience strategy.
We ask: You are a data-driven system thinker with a bias for action and the ability to zoom out and see the big picture. Furthermore, we ask:
Proven experience in an international customer-facing or finance management role, preferable in a credit management environment;
affinity with new technologies for customer interactions;
The desire to work in a fast-growing organization;
Strong vision in Customer service strategy in a multilingual approach;
Excellent knowledge of working with an outsourced model;
Result-oriented mindset, data-driven approach
Fluent in English, preference for 2nd language Dutch, French, or German.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
