The Behavioural Science Institute (BSI) is looking for a management assistant/secretary. As a management assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a diverse range of administrative-organisational, financial, secretarial and policy preparation work processes. You will act as a first point of contact for questions from our employees and external relations and will be an important link in our internal communication. You will support our Institute's financial management, control partial budgets and procurement, and will be responsible for processing claim forms, invoices and payments. Around one-third of your time (0.2 FTE) will be dedicated to the role of secretary for the BSI Directorate and our Advisory Board. In this role, you will coordinate and monitor our governance cycle for policy and decision making. You will organise and prepare meetings by drafting agenda's, collect relevant documents, draft and circulate minutes, follow-up on action points, ensuring that relevant documents are filed, and taking care of related correspondence.

As member of the BSI management team, you will work in close consultation with your fellow management assistant and other members (director, associate director, managing director and project manager). We are committed to helping each other and take up new initiatives whenever necessary. This may, for example, include supporting PR, maintaining BSI's online presence, and organising BSI-related events (e.g. one- or multi-day meetings, scientific conferences and workshops). We sincerely appreciate it when you contribute your ideas, take initiatives yourself, and participate in a continuous process of improvement. We will encourage you to participate in meetings, workshops and lectures to establish connections with colleagues from Radboud University.

    • You have at least completed higher professional training (e.g. in administration, finances, or secretarial or management support) and have at least several years of relevant work experience.

    • You are flexible where possible and decisive where necessary.
    • You are stress resistant and capable of guarding your own boundaries.
    • You are accurate and have excellent communication and organisational skills.
    • You have good computer skills, with extensive experience in Microsoft Office.
    • In addition to fluent communication skills in the Dutch language, you feel comfortable with communicating in English in both oral and written command.
