    Management Assistant Creative Business

    Are you the experienced, meticulous, energetic and well-organized Management Assistant we are looking for? And do you love working in a dynamic, international environment, then we invite you to read on!

    We are looking for a Management Assistant to support the Management Team and Team of Lecturers of the International Bachelor Program, Creative Business.

    What does your working day look like?

    It is 8.30 am and with a hot cup of coffee you open your laptop. First things first: check your mailbox! Of course it is rather full, but with your skills to prioritize you quickly scan which mails demand direct action. You gloss over the calendar of your manager to make sure there are no cancellations for any of his meetings and check if you need to book rooms or send out Team links. You continue to work through your mail box and when everything is answered and taken care of you move on to order books and office supplies.

    Next thing on your list: picking out a beautiful bouquet of flowers for a colleague. She graduated for her master’s degree. It is really nice to work in such an ambitious environment with room for people to develop themselves professionally. A look at your phone tells you that it is already time for the management meeting. Before it starts you send out a reminder to the team regarding the Jabra microphones which are offered for online classes. It is very interesting to take part in these meetings because you learn a lot about the organization and while everyone is talking you’re taking minutes. Listening and typing at the same time? You are a real multi-tasker! Time flies and your belly rumbles: time for lunch and a walk. 1:00 pm, another videocall from a venue is incoming: in July we will organize our graduation ceremony and we need a location. You schedule an appointment for a tour to get a feel of the place and ask them for their prices. So far it seems promising. Satisfied you turn to the next thing on your list. Next week there is a meeting with the Creative Business Partners and you need to send them invitations and the minutes of the last meeting. You pour yourself a cup of tea and hurry to yet another online meeting. This one is with the recruitment department and our student assistants to discuss the next Open Day. Hopefully this will be all live again. Last but not least you round off the day processing some invoices in the system so that your manager can approve them and you can send out the order number to the suppliers. Another busy, but yet again productive day.

    What do we offer you?

    The Creative Business (CB) bachelor program is a true success story in international education. In only a few years we have doubled in student numbers and colleagues who all come from across the globe. You will have approximately 70 colleagues and we have a student population of approximately 1300. Our goal is to offer a state-of-the-art higher educational environment that prepares and inspires young people to deliver great work in jobs that may not exist yet.

    • A contract for 0.6 fte on a temporary contract for one year (D4); to be renewed for an indefinite period in case of positive assessment;
    • The gross salary for a full-time position starts at €2.273,10 with a maximum of €3.077,54 (scale 7);

    • In addition, according to the collective labor agreement for HBO, you will receive a holiday allowance of 8% and a guaranteed year-end bonus of 8.3%;

    What do you have to offer?

    You love to organize events and are experienced in this. Being in contact with international speakers and logistically involved companies gives you energy. You don’t get stressed out when something changes last minute, but always find a way to solve the issue. You are pro-active, independent, service oriented and representative.

    You also bring to the table:

    • Several years of experience as a Management Assistant;
    • You feel comfortable working in a dynamic international environment (experience in education is a bonus);
    • Management Assistant qualifications (at least mbo+ level);
    • Skilled in MS Office;
    • Excellent diversity skills, which means you are openminded and like to work with various cultures;
    • Have English proficiency skills, bot verbally and in writing;
    • Live close to the USP Uithof or are willing to travel to the office.
