    LPD Area Manager – North-West Europe

    As a Territory Manager within the Livestock, Poultry & Dairy (LPD) business at IDEXX, you will be responsible for the Bovine, Swine & Poultry business, focusing on our main products Elisa & PCR. In the IDEXX LPD Business unit, the focus of testing lies mainly in both regulatory and discretionary testing for diseases for Bovine, Swine and Poultry.

IDEXX tests, equipment and software deliver reliable results in diagnosing over 50 of the major diseases in livestock and poultry.

    In this Role
    The Territory Manager will focus on testing for diseases in the Bovine, Swine and Poultry domain. The reasons for these tests could be regulatory born, monitoring or discretionary in nature. Therefore, you will be handling existing accounts comprising of Laboratories, Veterinary clinics (both individual and chains) and dealing with government officials about testing programs. The territory manager will ensure that the full product portfolio of IDEXX is offered to its clients by building new and maintaining existing relationships. The most important direct and indirect clients are laboratory managers, Veterinarians, and government officials.
    The other key focus area of our Sales Strategy is to promote the full range of the products IDEXX LPD offers by working alongside other departments in providing educational and informational tools about IDEXX Diagnostic Solutions to Livestock owners. This is normally achieved through the existing laboratory and veterinary channels, creating value for our customers.
    You will be responsible for maintaining/building relationships with our existing customers as well as acquiring new business.
    You will be translating the regional sales strategy into key account and sales of your specific portfolio and having accountability for the commercial results.
    Within this role it is 60% travel and 40% home office.
    Day to day, you will be executing our sales strategy, identify new opportunities/leads and generate sales reports.
    You’ll be working closely together with marketing field specialists and technical service in order to inform our existing and potential clients about the IDEXX experience and best practices in Disease Management
    It’s expected to keep up to date with Governmental and Non-Governmental disease control and eradication programs.
    You will be responsible for maintaining records through our CRM system as well as generating and presenting sales pipeline.

    What You Will Need to Succeed
    You have successful consultative sales and Key-Account Management experience.
    You are comfortable with both outbound and inbound sales activity, combining account strategy with attention to details.
    You have excellent communications skills including writing, listening and questioning.
    You have excellent organizational skills, especially in a multi-tasking environment and international matrixed organization.
    You have strong skills in negotiation and leveraging to increase the business and increase the value for our customers and for IDEXX.
    You have strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish rapport quickly, build and maintain relationships and persuade and influence decisions.
    You have the capability to absorb and articulate technical information about testing and testing programs.
    Effective time management skills to ensure desired business outcomes
    A background in (molecular) biology is valued in a candidate.
    A veterinary background is valued in a candidate.
    A diagnostic background is valued in a candidate.
    Fluent business English, French and Dutch is required.
    You have experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams and functional understanding of Commercial information Systems (Salesforce is preferred).
    You have emotional intelligence, humility, willingness to learn and take and receive feedback constructively.
    You have high ethical standards.
