You will join our Supply Chain and Operations department based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in the position of:
About the Role:
Within the Harman Consumer Lifestyle EMEA region, the Logistics Manager is responsible for Warehousing & Distribution (both finished good and Spare Part) activities including Contract Management. For the designated warehouse, the Logistics Manager is the first point of contact for all warehousing matters and the link between departments as Purchasing, Freight In, Sales and Sales Support to ensure that any operational issues/initiatives are resolved.
Owns the KPI’s for warehouse and manages the implementation accordingly.
Ensures correct processing of returns at carriers, warehouse including administrative bookings.
Negotiates, sets up and agrees on contracts / terms with logistics providers.
Manages database in SAP.
Forecasting to ensure warehouse capacity is secured.
Stock management, stock aging, stock value, fill rate etc.
Implements sustainability initiatives.
2. Project Management:
Monitors and executes launches of new warehouse operations or processes.
Able to follow up and ensure execution of projects as per timelines agreed.
Monitors and executes assigned projects.
Reduce supply chain cost.
Ensure Cost optimisation and project improvement.
What You Need:
Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or similar.
At least 7 years relevant work experience in a multidiscipline Logistics role, of which at least 2-5 years’ of managing warehouse operations combined with business knowledge.
Strong project management skills. Has experience in large project implementation linked to warehouse activities and logistics.
Able to develop and execute on tactical and strategic initiatives in order to achieve departmental objectives.
High level attention to detail to conduct analysis of departmental and organizational data and KPI’s. Consistency on high accuracy.
Experience in dealing with high complex matters and projects that are extremely vulnerable for the future of the team and are of great importance to the department.
Independent worker and budget responsibilities.
What Makes You Eligible:
Willingness to work in an office in Amsterdam 50% and onsite at the warehouse location 50% in the south of The Netherlands.
Willingness to travel 10% of the time outside The Netherlands.
