    Logistics Coordinator

    For our client, an international technical/chemical organization near Amersfoort are we looking for a Logistics Representative. Our client has an informal environment, nice co-workers, so a great place to work.

    Position Summary

    Coordinates and schedules transportation with carriers to ship products to and from plants and warehouses and customers. Works under general supervision and performs the more difficult transactions



    • Schedules transportation with carriers for regular planned deliveries to and from customers, warehouses, and plants. Takes constraints, such as maximum loads, available time slots, etc. into consideration prior to making arrangements
    • Ensures that setups are completed and data pertaining to carriers, routes, freights, rates and routes, vehicle types, constraints, schedules are entered correctly in ERP system and Transwide.
    • Initiates and coordinates emergency shipments as required. Works with carriers in finding shipment options when faced with changes in delivery times or locations
    • Follows up and resolves complaints and issues such as damaged shipments and late deliveries. Reviews daily Open Orders and other reports to identify missed or delayed shipments. Works with Customer Care or plant personnel to identify issues that may affect timely delivery
    • Provide accurate Customer/Customs/Carrier required documents
    • Input in JDE the Intercompany orders based on the information from the supply chain managers
    • Obtains proof of shipment or delivery documents from transport vendors or internal facilities both internal and external warehouses for audit or credit requirements
    • Check Letter of credit/payment against documents draft against order and approve. Adjust the specific documents to present to the bank/forwarder
    • Checks the supplier/carrier invoices that are non doc against actual costs incurred and reviews the freight accrual periodically
    • Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001® technical specification, as applicable to the site/region

    • 3+ years’ administrative experience in a transportation or logistics environment
    • Fluent in English and Dutch
    • Adept in the use of computers and office software packages. Basic knowledge of ERP systems
    • Basic and planning organizational skills
    • Customer service orientation. Eagerness to provide excellent service to customers and plants
    • Good communicator and team player, both internally and externally
    • 3+ years’ administrative experience in a transportation or logistics environment
