An entrepreneurial family, based in the South of Amsterdam, are looking for a fulltime, live-in (junior) nanny to support the family in taking care of their children. The family currently have two children (girl 5 months and girl 2 years).

The family is looking for a helpful, energetic, and discrete hard worker who is willing to work under the lead of the nanny/house manager who is already employed by the family. Flexibility and willingness to work varying hours are key in this position.

The (junior) nanny will be required to work 60 hours per week with one day off in the week (on a weekday) and will be on duty during the weekends.

    Duties include:

    • Doing laundry
    • Maintaining the children’s routines
    • Playing with the children, reading to them, doing crafts, going on outings in the neighbourhood
    • Supervising play dates when needed

    • Supporting the senior nanny/house manager in taking care of the children
    • Bringing the children to or picking the children up at their nurseries or other activities if needed
    • Babysitting in the evening
    • Receiving parcels and other deliveries
    • Keeping track of household supplies and stocks
    • Grocery shopping and running errands
    • Travel with the family

    • Packing and unpacking suitcases and other luggage before/after travel

The family is looking for someone who is able to bond with the children and willing to support them in their growth under the guidance of the family’s lead nanny. The ideal (junior) nanny will be warm and engaging while also able to set boundaries. Like the rest of the team, the (junior) nanny functions as a role model for the children by promoting good manners, kindness, and respect. The (junior) nanny should feel comfortable taking sole charge of both children when needed.

In approximately two years the family will move into a bigger residence. The future household will be fully staffed and may have other additional live-in staff. As such, the (junior) nanny must be happy to work and live in a team environment.

It is essential the (junior) nanny meets the following:
