To support our team in Liberia, we are looking for a Finance & Administrative Officer forthe IDH South East Landscape program.
As Finance & Administrative Officer, you are responsible for a variety of financial and administrative tasks and duties. You will be responsible for managing finances, and give administrative and logistical support to the South East Landscape program as well as providing support to the local partners. You will report to the Landscape Coordinator and work together with the Support Officer.
Managing and reporting Cash and Bank -South East, including monthly reporting and reconciliations,
Verification of financial transactions in accordance with the operational manual, prepare monthly financial and operational overviews and reports (Program advance, staff leave and others)
Prepare periodic financial forecasts – South East
Provide financial capacity and support to local partner(s) and verification of periodic local partner financial reports
Day to day running of the Sinoe office, coordinating logistics and supporting the Program staff (meeting & training arrangement), line managing the office Driver, Fleet management
Other administrative duties as required
Who you are
You will lead on financial and administrative matters and support the Landscapes office in Sinoe with an outstanding financial background, able to balance control and support, ready to also play operational roles. You will maintain accurate records and are compliant with all laws and policies. This means you have high ethics, integrity, and accountability.
You are a self-starter who will bring serenity and rhythm to the team. You do not shy away from going the extra mile. You are committed to sustainability and you like a broad set of responsibilities. Ideally you have fulfilled a similar role in an international organization.
What you bring
5+ years in Financial Planning, Control, and Reporting, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar or comparable position.
Experience and/or experience with office management and similar operational issues,
Experience in an international NGO organization and understanding of applicable donor standards is highly preferable.
Bachelor or higher degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar;
Demonstrated success in quality and process management, by building and coaching Partners;
Proactive, goal driven, timely delivery of task, fast and forward thinker and of highest integrity.
