You are responsible for
In this role, you will be the Compliance Counsel for 5 markets in Europe, responsible for the development and deployment of the Market compliance programs and advising on legal compliance matters. You will conduct and coordinate investigations that have been reported via SpeakUp. You will also be an important contributor to enhancing the global Market compliance program.
In this role, your key areas of responsibility include:

Compliance program development and implementation:
Support the Heads of Legal of the Markets with the development of their annual compliance program;
Drive/coordinate the implementation of the initiatives set out in this compliance program (incl. monitoring the execution through the Market Compliance Committee and documentation of evidence);
Monitor the General Business Principles (GBP) & legal compliance controls and follow up on results/deficiencies where necessary;
Advise Markets in Legal compliance matters (antitrust, healthcare compliance, anti-bribery/anti-corruption, and export controls & sanctions), where needed in consultation with the relevant subject matter expert in Group Legal Compliance; and
Conduct and coordinate investigations that are reported via SpeakUp.
Leverage experience as compliance counsel to enhance the global Market compliance program. Key areas of responsibility include:
Identify GBP & legal compliance best practices, leveraging these practices across Markets (continuous improvement):
Support with the development of the annual global Market compliance programs, with minimum compliance requirements for Markets; and
Advising in & conducting GBP investigations that are escalated from the Markets.
You are a part of
In this role, you will be part of a global team of (Legal) Compliance professionals. This is a team of highly skilled compliance professionals who play an instrumental role in driving compliance throughout the company.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
Master degree in Law.
Fluent in English (and preferably also in Dutch).
At least 3-5 years of experience as compliance officer/in Legal compliance (preferably in a multinational company).
