    Lecturer/researcher Marketing - Market Research

    The Institute for Business, Marketing and Finance (SBMF), for various finance courses, is looking for a new colleague in the role of Lecturer/researcher Marketing - Market Research (0.6-0.8 FTE).

    We are looking for a lecturer with a proven track record in the following fields in our curriculum:
    • Marketing all round and
    • Market Research

    Teaching tasks

    As a lecturer, you inspire students in various aspects of Marketing and Market Research in every year of the curriculum. You coach students in project groups, support the process of active learning and supervise them in their work placements and final projects. You contribute to the internationalization and innovation of the Marketing Management program. You translate relevant developments in the professional field into parts of the curriculum and together with colleagues you re-develop parts of the curriculum, (blended)teaching methods, study material and assessment tools, using the full possibilities of Blended Learning. You are in close contact with the professional field, and you share your knowledge and experience with your colleagues. As a researcher you can become part of the Marklinq research group, where a variety of market research is taking place.


    • Relevant Master degree, having a PhD is an asset.
    • Being a broad marketing professional, with recent professional experience in Market Research.
    • Active professional marketing network and innovative spirit.
    • Teaching experience in higher education, preferably having a didactical qualification in higher education.
    • Ability to participate in international and interdisciplinary teams.
    • Excellent proficiency in English language, a working proficiency in Dutch.

    Your work environment

    Our institute is part of the Hanzehogeschool Groningen and offers a Bachelor degree program in Marketing Management in both a Dutch-taught major (Commerciële Economie) and an English-taught major (Marketing Management). Furthermore the school offers bachelors in ’Entrepreneurship and Retail Management’, in ‘(International) Finance & Control’ and in ‘Finance, Tax and Advice’, amongst others. Our institute is a practical and innovative training institute, where students receive active guidance from knowledgeable lecturers who have a link with practice. You will become part of the educational team of Marketing Management and will report to the program manager.

    Conditions of Employment

    The start date is 1 February 2022. You will initially be given a one-year contract. You will be appointed as a Teacher-Researcher A, scale 11. The salary amounts to a minimum of € 3,453 and a maximum of € 5,026 gross per month based on a full-time appointment and in accordance with the cao-hbo. Furthermore, we offer an extensive package of secondary benefits, including a 13th month and the opportunity for further professionalization. Our Hanze PL Academy facilitates and supports this.
