Lecturer Marketing(communication), E-Commerce and Business Intelligence
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
You will contribute to the School’s objectives by engaging in scholarly activity through teaching and supervision;
More particularly, you will be expected to provide first class teaching across the range of education programs at International School of Business;
You will contribute to the development of the academic programs and modules reflecting the importance of Marketing, E-Commerce, Business Intelligence and Business Communication in a leading Business School and to preparing our students for the 21 century skills needed;
Supervising students during their internship and Graduation Assignment will also be expected;
Assignments from companies are an essential part of the program. We expect (over time) a contribution to the development of internal and external relationships by engaging with the wider research and professional community at HAN and beyond.
You will be expected to teach a number of existing Marketing and Sales modules (such as Marketing Basics, Digital Innovation, (Entrepreneurial) Selling, Data Integration, Business Intelligence, etc.) and Communication modules (such as Marketing Communication and Branding, Online Marketing).There will also be the opportunity to become a Module Owner.
WHAT ARE YOUR QUALITIES?
University Degree (Master or preferably PhD) in a relevant field;
At least 4 years of relevant international work experience;
Proof of excellent written and oral English language skills - Cambridge Proficiency level C2;
Up-to-date knowledge in the field of marketing, communication, e-commerce, business intelligence;
Good intercultural teamwork skills;
Team player, proactive and hands-on attitude;
Expertise in educating young professionals.
We would welcome a candidate that can demonstrate innovation in their teaching such as simulation games, blended learning, etc. You will also contribute more widely to the design and delivery of teaching activities across the range of courses offered by the Marketing & Sales team and the Communications team. This teaching will reflect your own subject specialism.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
An independent and varied job in a dynamic and informal setting;
Appointment will initially be for one year and will start preferably February 1st;
The position will be at the level of Lecturer 1;
Depending on your experience level the gross monthly salary for Lecturer 1 is a maximum of € 5.127,39 (scale 11 of the Collective Labour Agreement for Universities of Applied Sciences);
The salary is exclusive of 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% annual bonus;
Besides, the HAN offers good provisions regarding pension, health care, training facilities, mobility and parental leave.
