La Dolce Vita is a small scale restaurant serving authentic Italian cuisine. Our menu changes based on seasonality and demand. The menu is composed of dishes from all Italian regions, proprietary recipes and fresh homemade desserts.
Our kitchen is continuously evolving and tryouts are held on a regular basis by organizing tastings for our guests. Our kitchen is being run by Francesca who is best described as a patient, hardworking and precise teacher who can’t wait to show you the tricks of the trade.
We are looking for a kitchen employee, preferably with an affinity for Italian cuisine. Experienced applicants have our preference but we are well prepared to school you if you do not yet possess the needed kitchen experience. Qualities we’re looking for in applicants for this position are the ability to be a motivating team player supporting the rest of the staff during rush hour. Furthermore applicants should capable of winding down during off hours to perform daily kitchen tasks.
The restaurant is opened to guests Wednesday through Sunday. Our fixed closure days are Monday and Tuesday. With the exception of Saturdays having a fixed day or evening off is up for discussion.
Daytime tasks will involve the mise en place, during the hours of business your main responsibilities will involve preparing the antipasti course in the restaurant’s open kitchen area or assisting Francesca in our main kitchen. Working hours will be between 13.00 and 22.30 up to a maximum of 32 hours per week. We’re open to splitting the position between multiple application so feel free to apply even if you’re looking to working less hours.
The salary is in accordance with the hospitality sector’s central labor agreement, meals are included and you will naturally share in all tips received from guests.
