    Junior Sales Trader Bonds - Sales role

    realizing added value to our Financial Institutional clients by acting as a specialist Sales person for origination and execution of Bond products, while supporting the Sales Trader Bonds desk. As client focused Junior FI Sales Trader Bonds, you can make a difference by contributing to the development and marketing of our product proposition in order to realize added value for our institutional clients. You are involved in the pricing, capturing and execution of deals and you develop and maintain close relationships with clients and understand their needs. Furthermore you support your Sales colleagues while at the same time getting to know the Sales Trading Bonds business, allowing you to become an all-round Sales colleague.

    Making a difference

    • Originate new clients, counterparties and business opportunities.

    • Understand risk exposures of the desk in order to originate axes and risk mitigating trades.

    • Ability to handle the (electronic) analytical tools and constantly improve them to steer the flow in the desired direction.

    • Seek opportunities to cross-sell numerous Markets products and solutions, regionally and globally (including for other FI Sales Trading flow teams).

    • Ability to generate new initiatives and business ideas that contribute to Rabobank’s and Markets’ strategy.

    Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Our FI Sales Trading Bonds department brings talented people together and aims to improve and grow our Bonds flow product offering to Financial Institutional clients. With you as Sales person, the team will consist of approximately 20 diverse colleagues in a variety of roles, including:

    Youssef El Mir, Global Head Trading: “The FI Sales Trader Bonds is essential in furthering the bank’s financial markets product offering towards our core clients. Ideally, the candidate will develop and maintain close relationships with financial institutional clients and is able to provide them with relevant market intelligence and trends, but is also able to price, capture and execute deals.

    You work closely together with the relevant teams to establish targets per client and jurisdiction for the products in their area and are also pro-actively interacting with other main stakeholders (DCM, Syndicate, Research, Risk, Control, Operations, Legal etc.) to build and foster continued and effective relationships. You will be reporting into the Deputy Global Head FI Sales Trading Bonds.

    Customer focus, excellent communication skills and integrity are clearly essential for the role of Sales Trader. You have strong social &interpersonal skills, with an outgoing mentality. You are not afraid to start a dialogue or share opinions, even if they deviate from others or consensus. In addition, it is important that you recognize yourself in the checklist below:

    • bachelor or master degree in e.g. Economics / Finance / Law or other relevant studies;

    • understanding of the financial markets;

    • proven track-record and ideally experience within a relevant client-facing environment;

    • analytical and commercial skills with style flexibility;

    • keen to make a difference and willing to go the extra mile;

    • result and quality driven;

    • fluent in written and spoken English, proficiency in additional languages is a plus;

    • you are living in the Netherlands or willing to move here.
