    What will you be doing

    We are looking for a Junior Researcher who will support a new University-wide Research Priority Area (RPA) initiative on Organizational Ethics. This research programme, in which social and behavioral scientists, legal scholars and philosophers collaborate, studies how organizations come to structurally engage in unethical and damaging behavior. The project combines case studies with experimental analysis.

    The Junior Researcher will work directly with the RPA leader to coordinate the research project and work on the conceptual operationalization of the project. The work will include carrying out literature searches, summarizing literature findings, carrying out one or two case studies of organizational misconduct, editing text, developing online communication, and organizing activities.

    What do we require of you

    We are looking for a recent Master level graduate in social or behavioral sciences. Successful candidates should have affinity with the topic of research: organizational ethics, broadly defined as misconduct in organizations. They should be able to independently collect relevant studies in scientific databases and summarize key research findings. They should also be able to aid in the development case studies of organizational misconduct using publicly available materials. They should also have excellent written communication skills (in English and if possible also Dutch) and ability to develop online communication for the RPA programme.

    Our offer

    We offer an employment contract for one year with a probationary period of two months, preferably starting on 1 February 2022. If you prove to be a good match for the job, then an extension is possible. The employment contract is for 30,4 hours a week.

    Your salary, depending on your relevant experience on commencement of the employment contract, ranges between €2.836 to €4.474 gross per month on the basis of a full working week of 38 hours. This sum does not include the 8% holiday allowance and the 8.3% year-end allowance. The Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU) is applicable.
