The Group Internal Audit (GIA) within Nutreco is primarily responsible for the monitoring of control measures throughout the company. Next to operational and financial audits, GIA performs IT audits, HSE audits and other specific engagements.
The mission of Internal Audit at Nutreco is to enhance and protect organizational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight. GIA supports the business to further improve and stimulates continuous improvement throughout the various layers of the organization.
The GIA department consists of 16 people. The Director GIA reports in a dual reporting line to the CEO of Nutreco and the Internal Audit Director of SHV Holdings. As a Junior HSE Auditor you are part of the Group Internal Audit (GIA).
What are you going to do?
The Junior HSE Auditor monitors, validates the follow up and prepares progress reports of the internal audits, insurer audits and corrective actions arising from (potential) severe incidents. The Junior HSE auditor assists in planning, executing and follow up on HSE audits globally for proper implementation of Nutreco’s HSE policy, rules, standards and guidelines.
What are your key accountabilities?
Plan and organize HSE audits according the GIA audit planning;
Participate and assist the senior auditors as an independent co-auditor of companies, premises and facilities on all HSE aspects by means of interviews, inspections and standard checks to ensure compliance with Nutreco policies;
Assist in writing audit reports in order to establish a clear insight and overview of the HSE status of the OpCo’s.
Participate in entry reviews globally of newly acquired or commissioned operations for all HSE aspects by means of interviews, inspections and standard checks to investigate compliance with Nutreco policies, rules and standards;
Assist in the review of major capital investments at Nutreco on HSE aspects.
Process audit findings and corrective actions arising from (potential) severe incidents into the follow-up database;
Assist in reporting on the executed audits. Establish current status for a large variety of aspects and establish findings and recommendations;
Prepare HSE progress reports on action follow up to executive management.

What you bring
Master degree in (food) technology or same level obtained by relevant work experience;
4-6 years work experience in (international) production/processing environment;
Degree on HSE is a plus;
Auditor experience is a plus;
Familiar with HSE management systems and work practices.
Fluent in English, knowledge of other languages (Spanish) is a plus;
You currently live in the Netherlands;
Willing to travel average 30 weeks per year including weekends.
