The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is seeking a Junior Associate, Workforce Nutrition to provide administrative and technical support to the Workforce Nutrition team, based in Utrecht, Netherlands. About GAIN The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is a Swiss-based foundation launched at the UN in 2002 to tackle the human suffering caused by malnutrition. Working with both governments and businesses, we aim to transform food systems so that they deliver more nutritious food for all people. In particular, we aim to make healthier food choices more desirable, more available, and more affordable. GAIN’s mission is to advance nutrition outcomes by improving consumption of nutritious and safe food for all people, especially the most vulnerable to malnutrition. About the Role GAIN’s Workforce Nutrition programme aims to improve the nutrition of workers and farmers in low- and middle-income countries or communities. The programme focuses on improving the access and demand for healthier diets using existing business structures as entry point (workplaces or supply chains). Reporting to the Associate Workforce Nutrition, the postholder will work closely with GAIN Workforce Nutrition global team. This position will support with all activities relating to the Workforce Nutrition programme, including both administrative and technical support to the Workforce Nutrition team. This position will require regular engagement with Workforce Nutrition Project Managers in GAIN country offices as well as technical, private, and public sector partners. Key Responsibilities include;
Providing administrative support to the Workforce Nutrition team, including coordination of programme meetings, project documentation, contract management and financial management
Coordinating and contributing to donor reporting and proposal development
Conducting desk research and support development of briefs, communication materials, tools, and resources for the programme
Assisting in promotion, coordination, development and learning of the Technical Support Programme
Supporting monitoring, data gathering and learning across GAIN Workforce Nutrition programmes and coordinating cross-learning activities across countries.
About You The ideal candidate should have proven experience in an administrative or coordinator role in a project management capacity with knowledge of finance and contract administration. Experience working within food and nutrition, international development and / or relevant private sector experience would be an advantage. You should be a team player with a keen interest in working in a fast-paced dynamic, international organisation. You will possess excellent IT and communication skills as well as the ability to your initiative, prioritize and work well under pressure to meet deadlines. About our Offer The starting salary on offer for this role is from EUR 33,481 – EUR 35,879 per annum, depending on experience. GAIN has a fair and competitive salary structure that allows for annual progression subject to good performance.
