    IT Manager

    Information Technology Manager (FT)

    We are seeking an organized, efficient IT manager to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be responsible for the overall planning, organization, and execution of all information technology within the organization. You will direct the IT staff to carry out the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions. You will also lead the development team, serving as a liaison between business and technical aspects of each stage.

    The IT Manager provides expertise on what technologies to use to stay on the cutting edge and will implement all required technologies. Using IT best practices and standards, the IT manager will keep technologies secure, and help resolve technical issues. Must have the ability to rapidly analyze issues, establish priorities, anticipate consequences, make decisions, root cause analysis, and initiate action. Ensure system availability, performance and reliability through continuous improvement procedures.


    · Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware

    · Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative

    · Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration

    · Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software

    · Track and maintain hardware and software inventory

    · Analyze department needs, identify vulnerabilities, boost productivity, efficiency and accuracy to inform business decisions

    · Ensure network components meet needs and work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitive solutions

    · Continuously analyze current process, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement

    · Prepare cost benefits analysis reports when upgrades are necessary, continuously analyzing vendors to ensure they offer the best possible service and value for company needs

    · Train employees on both software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide technical support when needed

    · Analyze business needs presented by users and recommend technical solutions with the completion timeline

    · Maintain the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans

    · Produce detailed timelines and implement effective project control for each software release

    · Verify application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented

    · Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery, backup procedures, information security and control structures

    · Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, and anticipating organizational requirements

    · Responsible for solution design

    · Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action

    · Troubleshoot system problems, discover root causes and develop solutions

    · Lead functional and technical discussions with the business partners including the integration of WMS to ERP and other IT systems

    · Participate in all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts

    · Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards

    What we are looking for?

    The IT-Manager:

    · Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience

    · minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing IT teams

    · has demonstrable experience with process improvements

    · has knowledge of methods and standards in the area of information management, information strategy, and information policy, planning and architecture

    · has knowledge of methods, standards and developments in the area of change management, project management and process-oriented work

    · is customer oriented, agile and result-oriented

    · the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

    · strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    · experience in the Logistics Industry with proven knowledge of eCommerce, Warehouse and Forwarding operational systems is a plus
