    Food systems need to be transformed to be fit for the future. People are increasingly conscious of the environmental and social impacts of their food choices. In parallel, new scientific studies are defining "sustainable diets" that can provide healthy and nutritious food to the growing world population while respecting environmental limits. Regenerative agriculture has a lead role to play in delivering this ambition, by protecting soil, water and biodiversity; respecting animal welfare; and empowering farmers.

    In this role, you will be part of the Global regenerative agriculture Team, who is responsible for global Regenerative Agriculture initiatives to transform our sourcing models towards regenerative agriculture and enable continuous improvement on farm performance and sustainability. Through supporting this team you will be exposed to a wide and diverse range of agricultural sustainability topics within agronomy including animal and people welfare and the environment. Your main mission is to support the implementation of some of the Regenerative Agriculture initiatives under the supervision of the Regenerative agriculture project Manager and the Global Regenerative Agriculture Manager.

    So, what will be your key responsibilities?

    • Maintain a database of Regenerative agriculture projects in Danone across ingredients (Milk, Dairy ingredients, Plant-based, Fruits, Other), with a regular update of their status together with project owners
    • Support the implementation of local projects and monitor results of best practices implemented with farmers on identified KPIs (including CO2 footprint, Animal welfare score, feed autonomy, economics, etc.)
    • Support the team in drafting communication materials to valorize these projects internally and externally.

    Your personal deliverables will involve:

    • Proactively collecting, analyzing and reporting information (for example by interviewing local markets, reviewing literature reviews).

You are a fast learner, thriving in an environment where you can solve problems and be continuously challenged. You are proficient in Excel and Powerpoint. Furthermore, you have strong analytical skills and have high accuracy and attention to detail.

    Next to this, there are a few hard requirements:

    • Enrolled as a Bachelors/Masters student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
    • You can start mid-September 2022 for a minimum of 6 months (full time);
    • You are perfectly fluent in English – written and spoken;
    • You are able to work from Hoofddorp, the Netherlands
