    Job Description


    The International Business Director plays a critical role within the system as the overall relationship owner across their assigned region, markets or Master Franchisees. Accountable for strategically maximizing grow and protecting the brand reducing risk: propelling the growth of Tier 1 markets, unlocking the growth in Tier 2 markets and protecting growth in Tier 3 markets, while identifying opportunities for targeted (SWAT) support when needed. The International Business Director leads a team of International Business Consultants (IBC) as well as cross-functional workstreams, fostering collaboration and ensuring proper coordination of efforts with all Centers of Excellence within Domino’s.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    Maximize growth, minimize risk:
    • Responsible of leading successful achievement of brand revenue, retail sales, same store sales and store growth plan for assigned region or markets.
    • Responsible for proactive consulting with focus on risk mitigation approach, having a “road to profitability” plan across the portfolio: maintaining/maximizing returns in profitable markets/Master Franchisees, achieving returns in low or negative profitability markets/Master Franchisees, putting a SWAT team in place for risk markets.
    • Proactively assess market risk beyond financial health, ensuring all assigned markets/master franchisees are in good legal, food safety and infosec standing. Put plans in place to address risk, when identified it.
    • Leverage DPI Engagement Model as over-arching framework to gear DPI prioritization and support deployment by market segmentation.
    • Partner with RVP in conducting business reviews and leading the strategic planning process with key accounts in the region.
    • Effectively communicate and achieve alignment between brand and franchisee goals, which will lead to setting market priorities, framing the overall business plans at market level.
    • Lead cross-functional-collaborative workstreams in partnership with COE teams to achieve business’ plans/priorities.
    • Lead IBPW (International Business Planning Week) ensuring regional team preparedness, calibration with markets/master franchisees, and cross-functional alignment.
    • Serves as a communication liaison between the assigned markets/mast franchisees, regional office. COEs and overall WRC.

    Collaborative leadership:
    • Effectively communicate with COE teams to drive proper collaboration and partnership
    • Ensure BCs serve as primary franchise liaison, with collaboration from COE leads in all Markets/Master Franchisee’s touch points
    • Ensure BCs understand and influence master franchisee understanding of marketing plans and strategic initiatives through effective partnership with COE teams and franchisees.
    • Partner with COE leads to lead master franchisees to the right conclusions and ensure BCs do the same
    Business Execution & Standards to protect and grow the brand:
    • MFA compliance: Responsible for understanding, interpreting, upholding and enforcing standards, policies and MFA contracts.
    • Manage new Master Franchisees applications engaging the relevant stakeholders through the selection process and partnering with the RVP to provide a business assessment for EVP of Int’ consideration.
    • Responsible for overseeing the cross-functional assessment to master franchisees variances request, and to provide a final recommendation to the RVP.
    • Responsible for a proactive approach on past-dues to advice in case of any risk, and to ensure 100% collection on quarterly basis.
    • Encourage IBCs to assist Franchisees in analyzing their business opportunities and areas for improvement, with a data drive approach
    • Ensure IBCs communicate and implement changes on standards, policies and contracts with Franchisees.
    • Champion new DPI initiatives, ensuring IBC engagement in market/Master Franchisee level implementation.
    Leads, coach and develop effective teams:
    • Embrace and foster our company values, encouraging team members to behave honoring those.

    • Assess training opportunities among the team according to the functional and leadership competencies matrix.
    • Recruit and develop a strong team capable of meeting business objectives, ensuring cultural fit.
    • Foster a collaborative culture and a strong partnership with COE counterparts
    • Creates action plan and provide constructive feedback to develop Team Members.
    • Conduct semi-annual APA with direct reports and ensure down-line APA’s are being conduct to Standard.
    • Provide appropriate levels of Team Member recognition and motivation.
    • Responsible for selection and employment decisions related to direct reports.
    • Ensure execution of the succession planning process.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree with other business experience or 10+ years QSR / retail experience
    • Experienced in strategic business planning
    • Possesses a strong and broad general management skillset, with strong financial acumen and analytical skills
    • Experience in working independently and results oriented
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain influential and collaborative relationships
    • Has a proven track record of leading high performing teams and markets of varied sizes and business complexity.
    • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to gain consensus among various groups (selling and persuasion skills)
    • Communicates effectively: C-suite outstanding communication skills
    • Strong academic credentials, preferably a master’s degree &/or MBA and a second language
    • Thorough understanding of Domino’s Pizza standards, policies & procedures (preferred but not mandatory)
    • Multilingual/Multicultural skills preferred
    • Ability to travel 50% of the time
