Every minute 1 million single use water bottles are sold (ouch). And every minute a truckload of plastic is being dumped into our oceans. Single use plastic bottles are now the number 1 item found washing up on our European shores. Dopper was founded 11 years ago with a clear mission: to fight single use plastic water bottles, by inspiring people to drink water from the tap and use a reusable bottle. Since then we have grown to the #1 brand in NL, being a certified B Corp since 2014, and chosen as one of the most inspirational companies in NL in 2021. Our Wave movement of individuals and companies that have joined our mission has grown to over half a million people.
We want to expand our mission and our impact across Europe. Starting in West European countries where people have access to clean (and free) tap water – leaving no excuse to buy water in single use plastic bottles! This is the core of your role: with your team of 3 Dopper ocean warriors, raise awareness for our brand and mission across Europe. Getting consumers, companies, retailers, organizations, impactful individuals, partners, governments – you name it- to join our mission and Wave community.
You will build brand & mission awareness in new markets like Germany, France and Spain together with our PR, Sales, Omni-channel and Creative in-house teams. You will set the marketing strategy for both our consumer- and business audiences, taking into account market insights (eg tap water drinking behavior) and local/EU legislation.
You will lead the creation, roll-out and reporting of all our mission campaigns across our markets. As campaign manager you will orchestrate the in-store, PR, events, social, digital, and paid media functions – to generate maximum mission impact
You will be responsible for the (future) development of the Dopper proposition, including Wave program & community, and product range, to drive behavioral change (goodbye SUP!) in our markets.
You will guide the Partnership marketer in your team to inspire as many European partners and organizations to join our Wave, and engage them using our newly developed Wave training program.
You will guide the Retail marketer in your team to inspire our European customers and shoppers, by creating high quality POS materials and ensuring a unique instore presentation and mission experience.
You will be coaching and inspiring your team of 3 Dopper marketeers, building a forceful mission-driven Brand team.
You have 8-10 years of (international) working experience;
You have international experience building a (mission driven) brand in Europe;
Preferably, you have been working for a sustainable, mission-driven brand or NGO.
You languages: fluent in English, and preferably also fluent in either: German, French or Spanish
You have over 2 years of management experience with direct reports;
You are able to spread our mission on a stage;
You are positive, energetic and ballsy;
You like working in a scale-up environment, are a “builder”;
You are available for 36 hours or more.
