Information Technology / Quantitative Methods Lecturer (0.7 – 0.9 fte)
Your challenge The Information Technology team is looking for a candidate who will add value in teaching and research to further develop the business information technology expertise to the benefit of our students. We wish to enhance the instruction on data analytics, big data and digital transformation. Furthermore, you will be expected to contribute to teaching quantitative methods and research modules as part of the International Business curriculum. You will be working with students in the age groups of 17, 18 and 19 years. The groups consist of students with various international and cultural backgrounds. To ensure that our diverse group of students has the level required for our programme, the courses Information Technology and Introduction to Quantitative Methods aim to refresh and increase the level of the students regarding data analytics, mathematics and statistics. Supervision and assessment of International Business-related theses can be part of the job description as well. Therefore we are looking for a dedicated team member that loves to develop young people into international professionals via interactive lessons, workshops and assignments. You are able to create a safe learning environment and you are a compassionate listener with the ability to articulate feedback (positive and constructive) in a clear way. In education, good communication skills are a must and it is important that you can encourage and inspire students.
About you Our ideal candidate
holds a masters degree, with knowledge in information technology, data analysis, quantitative methods, the application of math’s in business, numerical/analytical thinking skills or a background in education and quantitative research.
has demonstrated experience in teaching excellence and in blended learning or e-learning
has demonstrated experience in business analytics software
has demonstrated professional experience in IT-related international business environment
has an entrepreneurial attitude and proactive engagement in the School’s development
must have excellent communication skills in English (minimum requirement IELTS 7.0 / CE1)
has the ability to engage students in research and to integrate research into teaching
has proof of didactic training (is desirable), or is willing to attain didactic training
has knowledge of procedures and standards within the Dutch higher education system and AMSIB (is advantageous, but not a necessity).

Your activities will be part of the organizational function of Teacher/researcher 2 and are remunerated at salary scale 10 (Collective Labour Agreement for Universities of Professional Education).
The maximum gross monthly salary for this position is € 3257 on a full-time appointment. Your salary will depend on your level of education and experience.
A temporary appointment for one year. If we are enthusiastic about your performance and you are enjoying yourself, we will discuss a permanent appointment.
