    Information Security Advisor (m/f/d)

    Place of work is Bayreuth (GER) or Arnhem (NL).
    This is a permanent position.

    This will be our challenge

    The system operations unit (SOP) is responsible for TenneT's core process 'Operate the Electricity System' and therefore for Security of Supply. In other words, system operations people are responsible for keeping the lights on.
    With digital progress, increasing data volumes and a growing number of complex expert systems and users, cyber and information security is also becoming an ever more important part of our business.
    We are looking for two multi-skilled people who are enthusiastic about the latest developments, risks and methods in the field of cyber/information security and who are able to link relevant (inter-) national laws and regulations with our core business processes and thus integrate them into our daily work.

    Your contribution to TenneT

    • In this role you are responsible for keeping our existing ISMS (Information-Security-Managemet-System) in a good condition (fixing the basis) and at the same time bring it to the next level (being prepared for the future). Sustainability, compliancy and internationalization (e.g. roll-out the ISMS to the entire unit) are in the center of attention
    • We entrust you with the implementation, further development and maintenance of security processes and procedures (incident managment, information security risk assessments, business impact analysis etc.)
    • You integrate the requirements set by ENTSO-E (European Association for the Cooperation of Transmission System Operators), ACER (European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators) and the Dutch and the German regulators into a lean and holistic concept for SOP
    • Next to that, you are responsible for the preparation, coordination and monitoring of internal and external audits with the aim of systematically and continuously increasing our information security maturity level
    • You understand our critical processes and know exactly how to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the supporting systems and the processed data. You also advise users and/or projects
    • Finally, you will cooperate closely with our management teams, central IT and security units. You represent SOP to internal and external parties

    Your Profile and background

    • You have an academic degree, preferably with an IT or Engineering focus (e.g. in computer science, information technology, information security). Alternatively, you have a comparable qualification
    • You have good advisory skills and the ability to act on all levels of interface: from operational to strategical, internally and externally
    • You do not hesitate to take the initiative and are able to work independently as well as in interdisciplinary teams
    • Preferably you gained in-depth technical experience in developing and implementing information security governance models as well as their auditing
    • You are experienced in working in a technical environment or are highly motivated to learn about the energy sector, system operations with its strategy, processes, structures, tasks and responsibilities
    • Furthermore you should speak English as well as German and/or Dutch. This allows you to work comfortably in an international environment
    • You should be willing to travel sometimes (to different TenneT locations)
