    HR Manager

    To support us on this journey, we are looking for an HR Manager passionate about the industry and exciting changes we will undergo with the construction of Bunge’s new plant location.     Why Bunge’s HR Manager opening:

    End of November 2021, we have announced the construction of the new sustainable plant facility on the HoogTij called Project Fortress (capital investment of Eur 300 Million). It is an exciting and important next step in optimizing Bunge’s European asset footprint that will allow us to reach our further business goals in being a world leader in sourcing, processing, and supplying oilseed and grain products and ingredients. Construction is expected to begin at the end of 2022 and to be completed by the end of 2024.

    The HR Manager role will have a major impact on the delivery of Project Fortress. Our current production location along the Zaan in Wormerveer will move to the new plant location. Consequently, our people are going to be the center of the moving process. It is a unique opportunity to review the organizational setup of the plant. Together with the projected labor cost savings, timely availability of competent employees for the new factory commissioning and production will be crucial for project’s success.

    What makes this position so exciting?

    As our HR Manager, you are the primary driver of the HR part of Project Fortress objectives, priorities and measures. You will be responsible for creating, managing and executing various HR work streams. Last couple of years, we have started working agile within our Global HR organization to optimize our performance, adopt and develop new ways of working. Building the new set up of the organization, implementing new processes and work procedures will also become a major part of your daily agenda. Likewise, you will need to ensure staffing for the new site is at the required quality and quantity.

    In this role, you will report directly to the HR Director EMEA and work closely with our Sr. HR Project Manager. Because of numerous regular stakeholders (HR Department, Talent Acquisition and project team), you will be expected to provide timely feedback on delivery, follow the project route and achieve the targets within its budget, resource and policy.

    Otherwise, your task might include:

    • Clearly and concisely presenting and communicating key people data to HR colleagues and other stakeholders;
    • Tracking, monitoring and reporting Project Fortress progress and escalating business risks where appropriate;
    • Ensuring the smooth and timely handover of project activity to the business-as-usual HR team.


    This role is ideal for someone with top notch project and people management skills. As a person, you are a natural communicator who can work very efficiently with different stakeholders. You hold a special project management talent of distilling business value and goals into roadmaps and requirements, while creating a prioritized backlog for the team to work on. Most importantly, you can effectively address the change and transformation we are going to undergo in coming years.

    An absolute pre requirement for this role is experience in an industrial environment with working in continuous shifts.
    Additionally, you have:

    • Completed a degree in HR or related field;
    • 6+ years of experience in similar role/ 10+ years of experience in HR;
    • Experience in data management, analysis, and presentation;
    • Excellent knowledge of English and Dutch language.
