    HR Business Partner

    The Challenge
    As an HR Business Partner, you are the HR responsible for the Innovation space: Research & Development, innovation department, Exlan advisory services and group functional departments.

    You are in charge of the change agenda of these departments. You are the People conscience and sparring partner for all people related challenges for the Chief Innovation Officer (CIO), managers within the Innovation Space for all development and innovation projects (R&D, Digital) and the the functional directors to effectively set up and staff their global support functions in line with the challenges that the business knows.


    Main tasks and responsibilities:

    • You are the HR business and sparring partner of the CIO, Functional Directors and Exlan Director supporting them in all people related topics (+/- 350 employees);
    • You are member of the Innovation space management team, Exlan management team, responsible for the definition, the set-up, implementation of the human resources related projects.
    • You ensure optimized and compliant execution of all HR-process and administration in the assigned area in line with policies and procedures set globally
    • You monitor culture/leadership capabilities and addressing areas for improvement and driving action ( in cooperation with Global COE L&D to execute interventions.
    • In cooperation with the COE Learning & Development, HR and HR advisors, responsible for the succession planning and talent reviewing process for the assigned area’s.
    • You continuously make sure you have the right HR outside in view to make sure together with the management team you have a clear HR agenda which the organization supports in its further development.
    • Together with the recruitment department you make sure all short and mid term staffing for the innovation space, Exlan and group functions are filled in. You are the one who is setting up a staffing philosophy for the innovation space and continuously discuss with the business what is the best way of staffing certain capabilities.

    The HR team in NL consists of 3 HR Business Partners and 3 HR Advisors, each with their own area of responsibility (you will be supported by an HR advisor and expert centers). You will work closely with the Learning & Development, Recruitment and Compensation & Benefits departments. In this position you report directly to the HR Director of the Royal Agrifirm Group and will be part of the global HR leadership team..

As an HR Business Partner you are responsible for supporting the innovation space in attracting and retaining the right capabilities/ employees which are needed in the several innovative directions we are heading. You are a member of the MT innovation space.


    RAG is organized as a global matrix organization were the support functions are organized globally. It is important to organize and staff our functional departments like HR, Finance, IT etc., to make sure our business units can serve our customers in the best way. We continuously look how to optimize the different support functions to make sure they support the organization in the best way with a competitive cost level. In your role as HR Business partner you are in dialogue with the global functional departments to see how to do this and to make sure we have well-functioning departments.


    Exlan is our advisory services unit. Predominantly delivering all kind of advisory services to our clients in the Netherlands. Examples of these services are: Coaching, manure administration and building services. For this business unit you are the management team member who is taking care of all HR related topics.


    What's on your resume?

    • You hold a master’s degree;
    • You have relevant work experience in a similar HR change role;
    • You have preferably worked in an international environment and knowledge-driven organization with your own R&D department;
    • You combine a solid knowledge of social legislation with a pragmatic insight into HR systems and processes. Your flexible nature enables you to switch back and forth between more complex and operational thoughts and actions;
    • You have an excellent command of the Dutch and English language.

    • You are organization and environment sensitive, which means that impact and influence are self-evident. You know how to create support through your way of working and through the insights and advice you give;
    • Able to quickly assess situations and act accordingly;
    • You are enthusiastic, enterprising, energetic and analytically strong.
