    HR Advisor

We are looking for an HR Advisor to join the People team. In this role, you will become the go-to person for all people related matters for our store staff working throughout the UK, Ireland, Nordics (DK/SE) and Spain. By advising managers and employees on various topics while also being responsible for the administrative HR support in your region, your work day is never the same.

In our team of HR Advisors, each person is responsible for their own region(s) and has their own way of working, but positivity, integrity, a strong eye for detail and passion for people is something that definitely characterizes all of us. We are looking for someone who shares these characteristics but also adds their unique qualities to strengthen the team even more.

This role reports directly to our Head of People and is full time available at our HQ in Amsterdam. We are currently working from home and hope to go back to a hybrid set up soon. Since the UK is the biggest market for this role, we are open to let someone work fully remotely from the UK if they bring significant HR experience for this market (regular visits to HQ are required).

    Your main responsibilities will be...

    • Being the first point of contact for answering all HR related questions from our staff and management (by phone, email, chat) for your region
    • Drafting contracts, change letters and other relevant employee documents
    • Supporting payroll by preparing the monthly changes and collecting all relevant documentation (e.g. joiners, leavers, changes, absence tracking) and processing these changes in our HR system HiBob
    • Keeping up with changes in social legislation for your relevant markets, translating them to our handbooks and policies
    • Proactively notifying and advising managers about people related matters, e.g. ending contracts, new laws & policies, sickness rates & protocols, health & safety compliance
    • Working on different projects with your other colleagues from the People team to keep improving our services and procedures.

    You...

    • Have a background in HR, Psychology, Business Studies or similar
    • Have some knowledge of the (basic) employment legislation in at least one of the markets you will be responsible for (UK, Ireland, Nordics (DK/SE) and Spain)
    • Have working experience in HR, either in an administrative/operational role or as an advisor/consultant
    • Have strong administrative and organizational skills
    • Have strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business
    • Are able to work with different types of HR systems and platforms
    • Have affinity with the retail environment

    We offer you...

    • The chance to be part of an international and ambitious team
    • Personal development
    • A broad scope of responsibilities
    • An international company with a fun, hardworking and dynamic atmosphere
    • Healthy lunch, good coffee, all day snacks and Friday drinks
    • Continuous updates to your eyewear collection!
Jeez, that was a lot. Still with us? If you are, and you’re thinking that you might just fit this exact profile, please apply via the form below. We’d love to hear from you!
