Hotel Receptionist Amsterdam

General descriptionWe are looking for a full-time receptionist for a beautiful 4-star Boutique hotel with 50 rooms in Amsterdam South. The hotel exudes luxury, but with an amicable and homely atmosphere. As soon as you enter the neighborhood you will see all the splendor of Amsterdam South: a nice neighborhood to work in but also to stay at as a guest!

What are you going to do

• The checking in and out of hotel guests;
• Informing guests about the city, the hotel, possible activities, etc.;
• You are responsible for incoming telephone calls and emails;
• Answering questions and dealing with possible complaints from hotel guests;
• Booking reservations in the system;
• Serving drinks and beverages to hotel guests;
• Supervising the safety of hotel guests, signaling irregularities and guiding hotel guests in emergency situations;
• Administrative tasks;
• Taking care of the reception desk and the lobby.

Job requirements

We are looking for someone who:

• is available 3-4 days per week (both weekdays and weekends);
• lives in (or close to) Amsterdam;
• has a high level of proficiency in English and Dutch;
• has completed an MBO education or higher.

Reception experience and being in possession of BHV is an advantage.
