We have an exciting opportunity for an Intern to join the Benelux Hilton Supply Management (HSM) team on a 6-12 month placement. The HSM intern for the Benelux will be responsible for contributing to and supporting the Supply Management function. The Intern's key role is to support functional day to day tasks in account management, data management, administrative & support activities.

A bit about the job
A challenging internship that involves communication with both internal and external clients with always that same goal in mind: to let the purchasing process run as smooth as possible against the best price available within the market while achieving the highest quality standards. The department manages the procurement of goods and services for 53 hotels within the Benelux Region. This includes all Benelux Hilton properties as well as other franchisee & third party clients of Hilton Supply Management. In a team of 5 energetic and young team members we give you the opportunity to seek for new and innovative possibilities within all aspects of Supply Management. The office is located at Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
What else will you be doing?
Overall, one week can be totally different from the other, depending on what projects are running at that moment. To begin with you will start visiting several hotels in order to meet the people you will be in contact with during your internship. Tasks vary from daily fixed tasks to incoming requests from both internal and external clients. Examples of these tasks are: supporting the internal stakeholders with the purchasing system, handling requests for new suppliers, analyzing purchasing data in order to discover new procurement opportunities and getting in contact with suppliers in order to get access to new products or services. Who are you?
People who are eager to learn and have a pro-active attitude are characteristics that you need in this role. You have an interest in analytics and like to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external clients. Fluency in the English language is therefore a skill you can’t do without.
