Location: Global HQ Arcadis, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Purpose: The Headquarters Controller will join a small and flexible team, working closely with the Corporate Accounting team members (in NL and GSSC) and the Enabling Functions team in an open and positive environment. The candidate will be a challenged professional and will work with a dedicated team of finance professionals supporting Senior Management.
Reporting lines: The Headquarters Controller reports directly to the Global Reporting & Accounting Director and is part of the Corporate Accounting Team.
Day-to-day accounting activities for the parent and holding companies, thereby closely collaborating with the GL Accountants in the GSSC and the Corporate Accounting Manager.
Monthly financial closing process.
Monthly/ quarterly reporting in consolidation system of Actuals and Forecast.
Preparation of Corporate Plan and contributing to the consolidated budgeting process.
Collaboration with Tax team on management and royalty fee recharges and transfer pricing matters.
Monthly cost reporting to corporate departments and Executive Leadership Team.
Assisting in preparation of the statutory Financial Statements of Arcadis NV (IFRS) and its Dutch hold cos (Dutch GAAP).
Ad hoc analyses and reports (e.g. ELT expense claim report, DNB/CBS reporting).
Collaboration with external auditor on the audit of the parent company financial statements.

Reporting of Corporate Enabling Functions cost
Coordination and execution of assigned tasks
Communication process on Actuals and Forecasts with Corporate Enabling Function heads and the Enabling Functions controlling team
Corporate recharging process
The candidate should have experience in Accounting and Controlling activities, preferably in a multinational company or a company dealing with more complex matters such as hedge accounting and cost recharging.
For this role Arcadis values professional experience and competencies in the following areas:
Experience with Accounting, Reporting and Forecasting activities.
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
Experience with Oracle Cloud (Fusion), Excel and preferably SAP BPC (or OneStream).
Fluency in English (both written and spoken) with excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Analytical, enthusiastic, critical, and positive attitude.
Proactive and collaborative approach towards business counterparts and senior management, as well as the Enabling Functions Controller.
Ability to handle multiple and competing priorities.
Willingness to work flexible hours based on business needs.
