This is a pan EMEA strategic role and leadership role responsible for the development and end execution of the EMEA Commercial Policy. Commercial policy is a legal framework that enables Dyson to deliver world class shopper and owner experiences through every channel. The Commercial Policy is aligned to our long-term commercial gaols and encompasses the following pillars: selective distribution (SD), retail terms and promo management, supporting markets to enhance profitability and the customer experience, pricing policies and the implementation of new digital tools.
The role requires acute commercial acumen and vision, the ability to network and strategize with senior stake holders to turn ideas into measurable plans. Engaging large sales teams and senior retail partners is a must. This role requires an understanding of retailer, ecommerce, and product activation strategy, it shapes the future as well as holds people to account on current delivery.
The role requires strong working partnerships to be developed with the EMEA Exec team including the regional president, FD and Country Managers as well as well as sales, marketing and ecommerce teams across the region.
You will lead a team of seven people who are based across the region. The role requires strategic, analytical, and abstract thinking skills as well as convincing communication skills to get a diverse group of stakeholders on board and into the set direction.
About the role
This role will report into the EMEA Regional Transformation and Development Director and is part of Dyson’s change management organisation.
Accountabilities
Take ownership of consistent execution of Dyson’s requirements for its authorised distribution network in the EMEA region and thereby, facilitate a best-in-class customer experience
Co-create together with the business new strategies to ensure Dyson’s retailer landscape is meeting and exceeding the expectation of our owners
Be the key point of contact for the EMEA leadership team for all strategic topics regarding Commercial Policy
Maintain and improve Dyson’s selective distribution network. Ensure a strong monitoring and enforcement system for positioning Dyson as a premium brand
Work with EMEA commercial functions on range planning to ensure it is compliant with Dyson’s policies
Be a trusted business partner and co-create together with the business the EMEA terms framework. Safeguard Dyson’s consistent application of its EMEA terms framework
Constructively challenge retail agreements and trade investment plans to ensure terms in your market cluster are negotiated within commercial guidance
Create and deliver trainings on selective distribution, terms guidelines and other topics in EMEA for key stakeholders; train your team to facilitate a ‘train the trainers’ approach
Act as role models for compliance and Dyson behaviours
About you
Master’s degree, ideally in business administration, finance or law
Excellent leadership skills project management skills
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of what drives profit growth
Ability to partner withs senior stake holders
Relevant business experience in distribution management, pricing, commercial and/or finance role preferably in consumer goods industry
Able to operate in dynamic environment with high interaction levels and wide array of stakeholders (cross-functional, cross-layer)
Strong communication skills in international matrix setting, fluent in English
Ability to adapt plans to changing environments
Excellent collaboration skills

Persuasive, analytical, hands on mentality
Skills to engage with different levels of audiences
