Your new role
The department Engineering & Maintenance is responsible for asset management of Buildings, Utilities and Equipment. Focus of E&M goes from execution of maintenance and qualification, until and including the execution of projects. The department consists of 21 employees divided across three groups: E&M-Utilities, E&M-Equipment and E&M-Engineering. For the group E&M-Equipment Byondis is looking for a new Head.
Over the past 10 years, Byondis has established exceptional R&D facilities and GMP manufacturing capabilities at its state-of-the-art site in Nijmegen. The campus consists of a mix of buildings ranging from offices, R&D/GMP laboratories and GMP manufacturing facilities (Cleanrooms). Byondis is currently preparing for some challenging investment projects with the need of a future proof maintenance group. E&M Equipment will be an important part of this.
The head E&M-Equipment reports to the head E&M and is responsible for the Equipment group (11 employees). E&M-Equipment is responsible for all equipment within Byondis: Equipment maintenance, equipment qualification/validation and equipment automation. Next to these activities, E&M-Equipment performs small/medium improvement/investment projects.
- Minimum Bachelor degree in a technical field (or proven experience), at least 10 years experience in a technical role, experience with GMP/GAMP and equipment qualification is a must
- People manager
- Technical knowledge of equipment in a pharma environment
- Familiar with high level scheduling and budgeting of maintenance activities

- Above average communication skills at all levels within the organization (verbal and written in English and Dutch)
- Proven management skills in the food- and/or pharma industry
- Team player
- Committed team leader, with strong motivational skills
- Enthusiastic and motivated, with a high degree of independence

- Ability to take decisions on the fly when required to set correct priorities
- Experience with the SAP maintenance module is a preference
