    Perseverance, flexibility and finding creative solutions are your strengths! You provide guidance to guests in our reception locations, identify questions and needs and find solutions for them in cooperation with colleagues inside and outside the organisation. You also provide support on the arrival of new guests at the location and you organise tours. Together with your colleagues you contribute to offering a safe living environment and you know how to find your way when surrounded by chaos, on the one hand, and how to bring a certain amount of order to this chaos, on the other hand.

    As a guidance provider you have specialist knowledge of target groups such as families and/or status holders and you know your way around the healthcare chain in Amsterdam and the surrounding area.

    • You can work both independently and in a team;
    • You have a proactive attitude and approach guests yourself;
    • You are available for local residents, chain partners and other involved parties, and speak with them in a pleasant way;
    • You help with translation when you are in contact with authorities and, when necessary, attend meetings;
    • You work in a team with other colleagues and volunteers, under the leadership of the care coordinator and team manager.

    Together with De Regenboog Groep and the Salvation Army, HVO-Querido provides shelter in Amsterdam for refugees from Ukraine. We offer reception and shelter to undocumented persons at various locations in Amsterdam and the surrounding area. We do this together with permanent employees, freelancers and volunteers.
    Reception takes place on the basis of self-management as much as possible. This means that you must be able to make a good distinction between things that you can do and things that a guest can also do themselves, and you also make the guest aware of this.

    Our team consists of a team manager, a care coordinator, supervisors, supporting supervisors and volunteers. We work according to a 4-week roster, in which context you will also be also scheduled to work in the evenings and weekends (not between 23:00 and 07:00).
