    Graphic Designer

    Your role at Tony's

    Here at Tony’s HQ, we’re looking for a really special all-round Graphic Designer to get excited about big ideas to communicate our mission in an ‘only Tony’s’ way. To be part of our in-house creative team, we’re looking for a Designer who’s excited to transform our social feeds with brilliantly engaging content, keen to come up with the next big idea (whether it’s a global campaign or an April Fool’s Day joke) and can also create knockout packaging and experiential designs that customers love and remember.

    Being a close-knit and passionate team, you should care about our mission to end slavery in the cocoa trade, and be up for doing it with a twinkle in your eye!

    Reporting into the Head of Creative, and working collaboratively with the Creative Director and other creatives in the team, you will work on creative briefs from across all chocolate-relevant channels, and across all Tony’s markets internationally.

    Ready to raise the bar with us? Here’s what you’ll do:

    • You’ll be an ideas person. A big part of your role is creative concepting, coming up with clever new ways to get the essential Tony's messages across. Anyone at Tony’s can come up with the next big bold campaign for the global brand.
    • You’ll use your channel-specific awareness to create brilliantly Tony's content for our social channels. Eye-catching stills, engaging animations, little videos – you’re excited about transforming our feeds into something brilliant.
    • You’ll use your exceptional graphic design skills to produce beautiful, effective, and on-brand designs across all print channels: whether it's packaging, point-of-sale, trade adverts, or lovely touches for the internal culture.
    • At Tony's, the in-house Creative Team are talented all-rounders. We know that a truly great creative idea involves excellent visuals as well as brilliantly clever copy, and that great creatives can come up with both, as part of a strong creative concept. You’ll contribute ideas to the words as well as the pictures.
    • As a member of the creative team, you’ll be at the forefront of the Tony's brand, nurturing how our customers see us and feel about us. Part of your role is ensuring that all consumer-facing branded comms are undoubtedly from Tony’s, building love and trust in a consistent brand.

    What you already bring to the table:

    You have at least a couple of years relevant experience already as a graphic designer and you’re well versed in answering all manner of creative briefs. You can interpret a creative brief with a strategic hat on, knowing when an idea needs to be market specific or channel specific and when the moment is right to flex the Tony's brand to accommodate different business needs.

    • You thrive in a brainstorm (whether that’s by yourself or in a group) excited to come up with creative ideas for Tony’s-style big, bold campaigns.
    • You’ve worked across digital channels and have a passion for social. You know the formats required for assets to work online, and you know that online designs tend to be short-lived, so you’re excited by the opportunity to work quickly and creatively, testing out ideas with fewer constraints.
    • You can work nimbly and throw together a photo shoot or video shoot if your idea requires it and you think it’ll be a great test for Tony’s.
    • Ideally you’ve also delivered beautiful designs for print so you know your way around a cutter guide, you can talk Pantone colours with the printers, and you never forget to get your work proof-read.
    • You’re happy writing copy that fits with your ideas, showing off a solid concept, and communicating the serious messages within the Tony’s mission but in the brilliantly engaging ‘only Tony’s’ tone of voice. Your English is fluent & any other Tony’s language is a bonus.
    • And last, but not least, you see yourself in Tony's core values (outspoken, wilful, entrepreneurial and makes you smile) and believe wholeheartedly in our mission to make chocolate 100% slave-free.
