    Graphic Designer

Want to be part of an enchanted design team? This is your chance!

And you may really want to. Especially if you would enjoy accelerating international growth at an inspiring tech scale-up. Even more so if you prefer purposeful brands over, say, more money driven companies. What makes this role purposeful? Our Tovertafel (‘magic table’) is much more than a lean, mean gaming machine; our serious gaming content demonstrably enhances the lives of players: people with cognitive disabilities or dementia. So, yes, if purposeful work is your thing, it may be the time to inform your current employer you’ll be gone in the foreseeable future. ;-)

    What is your purpose?

As a graphic designer you will touch thousands of lives as our games are used more and more around the globe. You’ll work alongside product managers, marketeers, and colleagues across the business to drive a creative strategy that fuels the long term success of Tover. You get to be a vital part of the team that executes creative campaigns that are smart, innovative, get noticed, and drive home the message we want users and customers to hear. As of the work itself, you quickly translate ideas from concept to creative assets. You work on campaigns in print and digital media, including but not limited to educational brochures, newsletters, flyers, multimedia projects, and other materials for external and internal use. Your day-to-day will be equally rewarding as it will be challenging. You get to contribute to the growth of our brand and the challenge: your designs don’t only need to convince the players, but decision-makers at care facilities and educational institutions as well.

    The TL;DR version:

    • You continuously enrich our brand by designing clean, inspiring designs.
    • You help deliver the right message to the right persona: messages that substantiate our claims and help go-to-market teams.
    • You monitor and enforce brand standards in physical and digital spaces.
    • You develop a keen understanding of our brand and come up with inspiring ideas to engage users and key decision-makers.
    • You translate a goal oriented briefing to effective design.
    • You are the point of contact when partners like to use our pre-designed materials.

What you bring to the Tovertafel:

    • A bachelor’s or master’s (e.g., in graphic or visual design).
    • You worked 3+ years successfully as a solo designer and as part of a larger design team.
    • You created clean, inspiring visual designs for both print and web.
    • You have a passion for design and an appetite for self-education.
    • You know your way around Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
    • You have edited some awesome videos (would be a big +).
    • You have a keen eye for details, especially the small ones.
    • You are fueled by a balanced blend of humility and confidence.

    What’s in it for you?

    • A good salary and 25 paid holidays days for full-time.
    • Non-stop development opportunities: when you grow, we grow, so the sky is the limit.
    • Fun company events, and drinks on our rooftop terrace with great views of Utrecht.
    • NS Business Card, laptop, and all facilities for a pleasant home office.
    • An inspiring home away from home, in the old court building next to the Dom.
    • The opportunity to infuse your CV with a generous measure of purpose.
