    Grants Analyst for the UK

    Grants Office, LLC is offering an opportunity to join a rapidly growing US-based company with clients in both the industry and non-profit sectors. This position includes a benefit package, as well as a unique chance to gain experience in the fields of funding and government processes.

    Candidates must have familiarity with funding in the government, education, healthcare, and SMB sectors of the United Kingdom.

    Title: Lead Grants Development Consultant

    Reports to: Global Manager of Research and Consultation

    Starting Date: 3 January 2021

    Rate of Pay: Commensurate with experience (Base Salary Starting at €55,000)

    Time commitment: Full time

    Duties (training will be provided):

    • Research databases, websites, and other funding listings for grant opportunities
    • Phone or contact via written communication with UK-based grant-making agencies for information
    • Research grants for specific project and product concepts
    • Deliver written research summaries in a specified format
    • Assist clients in comprehending and applying grants research
    • Motivate clients to pursue grant opportunities
    • Assist in the development of grant applications
    • Track grant opportunities, grants pursued, communications with clients, tasks completed, etc.
    • Create regular reports for internal and external use
    • Assist in database maintenance

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science required, Master’s preferred
    • Familiarity with government, education, SME, and healthcare sectors in the UK required
    • Experience in grants research or writing is preferred but not required
    • Superior written and verbal communications skills
    • Customer service oriented
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability or experience in research across a variety of media (Internet, print, and interview)
    • Computer savvy
    • Ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner
    • Ability to build relationships with clients and program contacts
    • Willingness and ability to research and learn about clients and client products
    • Ability to work effectively from home
    • Flexible demeanor—willingness to take on new responsibilities as needed

    Key Points:

    • Grants Office is looking for someone who is willing and able to spend no less than 50% of his/her time on the phone assisting and building relationships with clients and/or gathering information from and building relationships with grant program contacts.
    • The chosen candidate will also be expected to proactively analyze and improve work product, processes, and services.
    • It is imperative that the chosen candidate understands that he/she is expected to notify his/her manager immediately if and when more work is needed.
    • Public speaking experience and a willingness to travel (as needed) will be considered.
