Job Purpose and Impact
The Global Continuous Improvement Lead will deploy, execute, and govern the Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methods, tools and systems for Animal Nutrition & Health Enterprise. This position is also accountable for driving improved Management and Continuous Improvement maturity assessment processes and tools in the Business Operations and Supply Chain Organization.
This position will provide leadership and oversee systems used to manage portfolios, capture value, execute performance dialogues, talent development and training on LSS certifications, and other supporting systems for LSS. This position will use change, communication, and education techniques to drive a deeply rooted CI culture and drive business value from Continuous Improvement Processes. This includes coordinating and overseeing the ACI (Accelerated Continuous Improvement) Deployment within ANH BOSC; belt program; as well as partnering with both business and functional leadership to develop strategies and tactical plans to drive sustainable business value through LSS usage. Key Accountabilities
Directly communicate to our partners and senior management updates on the project objectives, performance measures, issues, and risks.
Independently identify, monitor, and implement continuous improvement best practices.
Independently develop and handle continuous improvement plans for projects with the highest cost and risk, reaching and sustaining project goals.
Independently coordinate overall continuous improvement strategy.
Other duties as assigned
Provide expert consultative guidance for initiating strategic long-range goals and objectives. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of eight years of related work experience
Experience effectively coaching leaders on continuous improvement tools and processes.
Experience capturing value through the use of CI methodologies across multiple businesses / divisions.
Experience creating and executing plans to drive organizational results.
Strong competencies in the areas of leadership, communication, teamwork, interpersonal effectiveness, initiative and process discipline.
Business fluency in English.
Availability for 30-50% global travel.
Expertise in both Lean and Six Sigma as well as ability to develop and deploy a sustainable Global Continuous Improvement strategy. Black Belt Certification with ability to get Master Black Belt within 2 years.
Ability to facilitate small and large cross-functional teams at all tiers of the Organization.
Demonstrated budget management and knowledge of key business financial metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced education / degree in business (MBA), operations, engineering or other related field.
Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certification.
Have a clear understanding of the how CI fits into the overall BOSC Strategy.
Managing complex programs in a cross-cultural global environment is highly desirable.
Working knowledge of supply chain, reliability and productivity practices.
Ability to deal with ambiguity.
